I will take it to Tampa all the time and depending on where the rail system stops in Altamonte, I might take it to work everyday from downtown.

When is the SunRail and HSR planned to be completed?

Will the new HSR stop at the RayJay for Bucs games?

The only stop in Tampa is somewhere downtown.

Disney is the winner here not the Florida or American taxpayer. If they wanted to help Floridian's they would build a network of commuter rails and trolley lines throughout both cities.

Mica has been pushing the SunRail for 10+ years. I don't know if he was ever a supporter of the HSR. He does a good job of funneling money to the Central FL though, you got to credit him for that.

That is because he knows it will help with Orlando tourism and keep Orlando's biggest employer (Disney) happy. Disney has alot of power in that town and politicians like Mica want to keep them on their good side.

Wait, I thought Mica was pro-SunRail, but not pro-HSR. SunRail will not benefit Disney at all, it is only for the commuters of Orlando.

HSR is a totally different matter and seems almost geared toward tourism and the convention center. I guess they are looking at it like making tourism easier here, which feeds the hotels, which are taxed heavily and the city of Orlando uses that for city development.

SunRail will save Disney millions a year by having a direct connection from the airport to the theme park. No longer will they have to shuttle pasengers on their buses from the airport.
