Like the tittle says, Anybody in Oviedo with Att U-verse?

I'd like to hear local opinions about it so far.

We have had bright-house cable internet with VERY good service for over 8 years.

Now, recently from up to 10 mpbs that we pay for, we are usually getting 5-7, and sometimes even 3. Even when they recently asked us to turn in our old modem for a new one that was supposed to be superior.

well, hasn't Comcast creeped into the area? If they get into the area, then they will offer a deal, and I'll jump ship to them.

If you are speaking of speed, why not continue to put pressure on Brighthouse? Everyone I know who has them in Oviedo, Casselberry, Lake Mary has had pretty good speed even with their basic 10mbps service.

My wife's aunt and uncle in miami have u-verse though.. they like it, i'm not sure how much they pay and I've only used the TV portion of it, which seemed comparable to DirecTV and the like.

True comcast is in the greater Orlando area, but all the feedback I hear is negative, or at a minimum inferior to brighthouse.

Speedwise, that is just the nature of the beast, the more neighbors connected the slower it gets. My neighbor also gets 5-7, when he pays for up to 10.

Pricewise u-verse beats brighthouse when bundling (at least the bundle I want) by a little bit plus they have the whole house dvr which you do not get with BH. Hence me wanting to hear about loal experiences, If I do not find negatives, I will give it a try.

Let me know how it goes. I had Comcast a few years ago in NJ and they were EXCELLENT, so that is somewhat surprising
