Hi - I have family members staying at the Marriott Residence Inn, Lake Buena Vista in Jan/Feb. I want to spend a week nearby, but I'm looking for something that is not as expensive (under $85 per night would be good). Needs to be clean and close to the Marriott. Thanks.

Thanks, but more than I want to spend. It was about $212 a night.

There is an Extended Stay Deluxe Hotel on the same street as the Marriott Residence Inn that is pretty nice and cheap especially if you are staying a week. Also, the Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista is probably in your price range and pretty nice. I personally would suggest avoiding anything on 192 (Irlo Bronson Hwy/Vine St) if you can - it is like playing Russian Rullet when it comes to most of the motels there (cleanliness and safety) and they usually do not offer the best amenities. Good luck and have fun!

If you or your spouse are military, you could stay at Shades of Green at WDW. Very afforable, and must show proof of military service.

Default Inn

There's a Residence In by SeaWorld that I used to stay in for $99 per night. However, it was for work, and it may be a corporate rate. You can take the back way to get to 535 or jump on the westbound I-4 and get there pretty quick. It also has a nice pool, free hot breakfast buffet, and is clean.

Good luck!

Check out International Drive hotels- it's about a 10 minute drive but will be much more affordable.

Kissimmee on Irlo Bronson Blvd might be less expensive as well but that area isn't very safe- and many of the hotels there are not very clean.

Also check Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity, and Hotels.com for prices. Priceline's name your own price often nets successes for me.

Thanks for the suggestions.

cmj_fla - which Extended Day Deluxe - there are several listed.
Southern Belle - no one in the military
SF - thank you.
John - I know
Pirate Girl - I love Priceline, but since I want a specific location, I don't want to use them.

The way I get around priceline and in most cases select my hotel but use the name your price is I run a search on what they have available-

Narrow your search to the area you want and find all hotels with a certain number of stars- in most cases four or five stars are few and far between. I check each of them out and usually the high star hotels are acceptable- and I have things narrowed down geographically.

I don't always get my first choice hotel- but I'm also in places like Doubletree, Hilton or Embassy rather than a motel 6 or something like that.

Good luck.
