Is this not a really dangerous road?

That intersection is one of the deadliest in Orlando, which is why they built the overpass. I haven't been that way in about a month or two, but I heard that the Colonial overpass was finally open.

Where did you hear that? This is one of the best parts of Orlando.

Okay seem to be difference of questions so I'll answer both:

1. Is the intersection of Semoran and Colonial dangerous? Its a major intersection but I can't imagine it being worse than some of the other bad intersections around the metro. Don't know statistics or anything like that.

2. Is that area is a great area? Its a lower class area that has seen a lot of closings over the years. I remember the Sports Authority back when that plaza was happening now even the Sports Authority is barely surviving. I don't consider it a dangerous area as far as crime and gangs though any more than any other part of a major intersection would be in Orlando.

I don't agree with Aatayyab that its the best part of Orlando though.

I heard somewhere that it was a dangerous intersection.

I think the issue with the Sports Authority on 436/50 is that they built another one by Fashion Square. Way too close...

Im not taking it guys. It's not at the intersection, it's like 5 miles north of it. Im trying to find a place close to downtown or at least close to all the UCF stuff as a conselation prize. Orlando is so damn spread out and it's going to be difficult for me to go out and have a few beers around here. Im getting a little frustrated but Im going to stay focused and hold onto my goal of living close to the action, or Im going to find a place where I can. lol.

Thanks for the feedback.

it may be tough but look for a cheap place that's in the downtown area.

That's not a great area, whether you mean living there, or driving there.

Well, since you are talking living north of that intersection, Baldwin Park would probably be a good place for you. However, it is very expensive.
