Last week an incredible opportunity open up for us and we both will be going to UCF. We will be moving to Orlando and are planning on buying a house there. The thing is we have 5 dogs and a cat leaving our pets behind will never be an option. I was wondering if there is a limit of pets you can have within city limits?

Look in Oveido where you won't be as restricted.

One thing to keep in mind, even if there isn't a local ordinance, most HOA's restrict the number of pets you can have.

Try to buy a place that has more than 0 lot line. Also, try to go where they don't have HOA. We lived on a 0 lot line in Lake Mary and we had 5 dogs and a cat. We didn't tell anybody really. We didn't have a problem at all. My HOA said only 2 of each species.

We have a 1/2 acre fenced now and only have 3 dogs. It's so much better to have a decent sized property. I dogsit at my house though and sometimes I have 7 dogs with mine included. My neighbors all have several pets and we have no problems here. (I also know the animal control officer, we worked together for a while)

I would never give up any of my pets, I hear ya!

So there are limit restrictions in the county or city? We have 1 acre now and we won't even consider something with a yard too small. Thanks for you input.
