Do you think people there commute to Orlando, work in Mt. Dora or where?

I know this is probably not a question anyone can really answer (unless you live there) but was just asking for people's best guess.

Thanks!

I think alot of people living in Mt. Dora work in Lake Mary office park area. Others probably work in nearby areas of Orange County or Tavares or Leasburg.

I think alot of people are retired, older folks. If I lived there, I'd work in Mt. Dora, Tavares. Eustis, or maybe Leesburg. All of these are Lake County.

You could reach Lake Mary from Mt. Dora in about 40 minutes with no traffic (26 miles) going East on SR 46, then jumping on I-4 to Lake Mary Blvd. However, this is not a drive I would want to do every day. 46 is a 2 lane road, with lots of trucks. There have been a few head on accidents out there. That stretch of road also has a lot of wildlife that could run out into the road. When you get on I-4, it will probably be gridlocked as well.

The Lake Mary/ Heathrow area is home to many corporate headquarters, like AAA and some high tech companies

I guess you need one of those "work at home" gigs that we read about so much on here. I would love to know what exactly those people are doing!

From my research, home prices are much more affordable in Clermont vs. Mount Dora.
