My family will be moving to the Orlando area in July. Does anyone have any information about Boy Scouts organizations in the area? We are looking for homes in both Seminole County and the better neighborhoods of Orlando. I know that is a wide area...I am more looking for the names of the different councils and any Troops you would recommend or not recommend.

Thank You for your time.

Thank You Parrotrosie, my son has reached the level of Life. He is 12 years old. This Friday we are having and Order of the Arrow ceremony and he is hoping to get tapped out so hopefully he will go down there with his Order of the Arrow. He really loves the Boy Scouts and we really want to continue when we go down there.

As to where we are going, that is really still up in the air. We have looked at homes in Oviedo, Avalon Park area, Waterford. Schools are really important and with a 3, 8, and 12 year old we have to make sure that everything from Elementary to High School are good schools. We are also considering Lake Mary, Winter Park, Baldwin Park to the North and Windermere, Dr. Phillips, Hunters Creek.

I know that the areas are pretty spread out to ask for specific Troops but if your friend can give you the names of any councils or info on the Troop he is with I would greatly appreciate it.

Also, could you be so kind to share information about the school there. The school websites aren't that informative. For example, we have year round school for elementary and middle school. Our high schools also are on the block schedule here where they only have 4 classes per semester each class being about 2 hrs long.

Thank You for your time. I really appreciate any info you can give me.
