Guys, there are weird people everywhere. Escaping Orlando isn't going to necessarily get you away from that

Orlando was recently profiled on Dateline NBC regarding another missing child who was killed.

In her area there were 169 sex offenders.

She walked to school past three sex offenders homes.

There are more strange people in Florida than in other states. And most of them come from someplace else.

Your above statement is invalid - strange is an undefinable characteristic so even if you cited some study that claimed to determine what state has the most strange people that study would be false on the pretext of trying to quantify something that cannot be quantified.

strange/weird is defined as out of the ordinary.
but what you define ordinary or normal to be?
normal is different for every person.

I just don't get how you could come to that conclusion. Is there some huge study about Florida's strangeness? Here in NYC you'll see people muttering to themselves or yelling at others in public places.. there's a man who jogs down the street I live on in drag. There's too many factors for "weird" to even define it, and it's different for each person.

I'm not saying there aren't strange people in Orlando, I'm saying there are strange people everywhere.

The homeless downtown are definitely a problem... one even followed (rather quickly) my friend and I after we denied him food. But as you said hobos are common to every city, I've had even worse experiences with them when I went to Chicago.. one came up to the table I was at in a Dunkin Donuts flirting and asking for money!

something else is often times the homeless people live life that way because they choose to. or perhaps they are just hoarding money for some reason

i dont know if this happened in orlando or not but somebody told me about a homeless man who had been killed and the police found $300k in his backpack

$300k?! Man.. maybe I should be "homeless" and get money from people off the street!

Also, ironically I just went out for a quick errand and a homeless guy came up to me asking for change for the bus so he could get food at the homeless hospital. About them being that way because they choose to, a lot of times it's due to alcohol or drugs. Some have really honest signs here in NY- like "need money for booze", its a bit ridiculous.
