Today's Question(s):

What was the last thing you attempted to do that turned into a "project" ?

Straightening the living room.....it was one of those things like...Oh I'll just dust this....I ended up clearing out the entire room, cleaning as I went, painting and putting it all back together.

Extra Credit Question:

Is your home "company ready" at this moment ? Kinda

If not how long would it take to make it "company ready" ? 15 minutes....just taking the few things off the dinning room table.....Heck the living room's clean!

Bonus Question:

How many catalogs do you get at your home ? 3

Which is your favorite ? ABC
Last time you ordered something from a catalog ? Last fall...I do a lot of Christmas shopping thru this catalog.
Just for Fun:

How many of our QOTD family are still using their A/C ? You did see our high temp right??????
When do you think you will be able to turn it off ? Hopefully by the end of October....but it has been running on Christmas day

My goal of the day is to stay in a good mood even if three of the people I work next to get in yet another contest on who's life is the most miserable!

Today's Question(s):

What was the last thing you attempted to do that turned into a "project"? Putting up new blinds in my family room (7 windows).

Is your home "company ready" at this moment? Uh, no. It isn't even company ready when I have company! hahaha. (Well, that's a bit of an exaggeration. However, I am not a very good housekeeper, and usually need advance warning if someone's coming over. Well, actually, it depends on which part of the house we'll all be in. My living room and dining room, which you see immediately from the front door, almost always look okay; bathroom's always clean. Rest of the house, including the family room, usually looks pretty neglected.

If not how long would it take to make it "company ready"? At least an hour.

How many catalogs do you get at your home ? I have no idea. I don't subscribe to any, but get lots of unsolicited ones every year, especially in the fall.

Which is your favorite? The one I get from National Wildlife Federation. Lots of cool nature stuff in it.

Last time you ordered something from a catalog? Several months. I don't mail or call in orders anymore. If I find something I want in a catalog, I go to the web site and order it online. I pay in advance, and then when the package comes, I feel like I'm getting something for free. "Oh boy! For ME????? Thank you!"

What are your expected High & Low temps for today? It probably got down to the mid 60s overnight, and I think the high is supposed to be around 86 today. It's extremely humid again, so it already feels yucky out.

How many of our QOTD family are still using their A/C? I was able to turn mine off a couple days ago, when the humidity broke. I may turn it back on tomorrow, as the humidity and temp continue to build.

1960 - Beatles give their 1st public performance (Kaiserkeller in Hamburg) With that drummer who came before Ringo. (I'm forgetting his name now.)
1962 - Peter, Paul and Mary release their 1st hit "If I Had a Hammer" Good song. Takes me back.
1996 - Record 6,654 people tap at Macy's Tap-o-mania in New York City

I am piquant.

Mail Order Catalog Day Prefer online ordering.

Good morning...

What was the last thing you attempted to do that turned into a "project" ? Everything turns into a project, lol. We had to re seed the bank on our driveway and put an electric fence around it to protect it from the cows. This should have been easy. We did the seeding a couple of months ago but because of the cows it turned into a big fencing project

Is your home "company ready" at this moment ? No, we are in the middle of installing a covered porch on our house so we have tools out and roofing panels spread around the yard. and here I am sitting on the computer.

If not how long would it take to make it "company ready" ? I could have the inside ready in 10 minutes...the outside...well I hope the company knows how to work, lol.

How many catalogs do you get at your home ? None.

Which is your favorite ?

Last time you ordered something from a catalog ? About 4 years ago. I ordered a small table for our old motor home from Harriet Carter.

What are your expected High & Low temps for today ? 84/64

How many of our QOTD family are still using their A/C ? No A/C here.

Today's Question Wednesday 8-18-10

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good morning everyone
Happy Wednesday

Another busy day ahead, but first

Today's Question(s):

What was the last thing you attempted to do that turned into a "project" ?

Extra Credit Question:

Is your home "company ready" at this moment ? no.

If not how long would it take to make it "company ready" ? oh, maybe half an hour. My house is usually clean because I have a cleaning lady, but because I work full-time and I'm not naturally "neat," it usually is cluttered in areas unless I make a concentrated effort.

Bonus Question:

How many catalogs do you get at your home ?
about 3
Which is your favorite ? Land's End

Last time you ordered something from a catalog? don't remember, usually order online if I'm "ordering."

Just for Fun:

What are your expected High & Low temps for today ? about 100! aaaaaargghhh! low 75ºF

How many of our QOTD family are still using their A/C ? Will be for quite awhile yet.

When do you think you will be able to turn it off ? probably not till sometime in November.
