Today's Question(s):

What was the last thing you attempted to do that turned into a "project" ?
Hmmm.... Any house-cleaning task.. - Just kidding, I keep tasks as just that, tasks.

Extra Credit Question:

Is your home "company ready" at this moment ?
My house is always company-ready, heck it's even corporation-ready! But the only company I ever get is Herbie the cockroach, he always stops by to visit...

Bonus Question:

How many catalogs do you get at your home ?
Which is your favorite ?
I only get one monthly catalog..

No it's not the Victoria's Secret catalog... It's from a company based here in the Phoenix area (in north Scottsdale) that makes ammo reloading equipment and many shooting accessories, Dillon Precision.

Last time you ordered something from a catalog ?
I rarely order from the catalog, their factory and store are only 12 miles from my house.

Just for Fun:

What are your expected High & Low temps for today ?
Low is in the low 80s, and the high will be in High 90s.. It rained a lot last night. But if you asked that question a week ago, or in the middle of July, I would have said a low of 90, and a high of 110.. But it's a dry heat..

How many of our QOTD family are still using their A/C ?
I'm raising my hand.

When do you think you will be able to turn it off ?
That's a tough question to answer, in Phoenix it's gradual. My A/C system starts running less and less in the middle of September, then typically it's completely off as early as the middle of October, and sometimes it runs during the afternoon as late as early November, but that's rare.

Today's Question(s):

What was the last thing you attempted to do that turned into a "project" ? Putting the bookcases together. Of course after putting the last piece on, I notice it was on backwards, and the wood isn't stained. Thought about taking the whole thing apart (just for a milisecond) and decided to buy stain. That was months and months ago. I finally bought the stain last week, and it's still sitting on the table.

Extra Credit Question:

Is your home "company ready" at this moment ? Almost.

If not how long would it take to make it "company ready" ? About an hour, the woodwork and window sills needs wiped down, dusty, dusty.

Bonus Question:

How many catalogs do you get at your home ? 2

Which is your favorite ? ABC Distributing

Last time you ordered something from a catalog ? Well, I look at the catalogs but order online. A few months ago.

Just for Fun:

What are your expected High & Low temps for today ? High 88° - Low 68°

How many of our QOTD family are still using their A/C ? It's sporadic here, it's been really muggy, we had to turn it on yesterday and will do so today too.

When do you think you will be able to turn it off ? We don't have central air, and have only used it 4 times in the past year, I bet by the end of the week we won't have to worry about it again.

Our home here is not company ready but no one comes over anyway...
It would take a construction crew a couple of months to tear it down and rebuild a house that actually doesnt have plumbing, heating and cooling issues. And real cabinets in the kitchen!
I subscribe to one catalog and have been looking through it for clearance on something Im going to need soon. Catalogs are the only things we get in our mailbox here.
Last time I ordered something from Fredriciks of Hollywood was several years ago, my thigh high boots. Got them for a killer price: 75% off!!

The last thing I attempted to do that turned into a project was cook a simple dinner. It turned out to be dinner with guests, mixing, measuring, chopping, timing, a trip to the market and a lot more involved. My home is company ready especially if company shows up without calling "u git watcha git and u don't pitcha fit" Now if President Obama was coming I might need a couple of hours cause I want to look my best in case he decide to leave Michelle (just fantasizing) Michelle can come and while I am no competition I don't want to be too far off the mark. No catalogs. The high to day is so high it jumped the sky and never game back to the 4th of July LOL my best guess is around 116 and the low 112- yeah I might be exaggerating a little since I am totally still up on those allergy meds and I feel so happy... legal dope what a concept cause the AC is all the way blowing on hi. and I aim to keep it that way till October unless a miracle happens and things cool off sooner, but I doubt it this place is next door to LL. Well aLLyaLL in cd land have a humping hump day. Love and peace to all my friends

Today's Question(s):

What was the last thing you attempted to do that turned into a "project" ?

This very morning I decided to transplant some "ditch lilies" that were attempting to grow in a very inhospitable area at the edge of the property.....it is dry as a bone there and it gets too little sun and the soil is terrible. The lilies have been over there for three years.....and held their own...and even bloomed this year (while my DP and I were away), however they were decidedly unhappy and certainly not thriving.

So I went and dug them up, (maybe 12 of them) and brought them to a colorful bed up near the deck. That bed contains some herbs and some perenials and I interplant petunias and other annuals to create a pretty cutting garden.....but at the lower end of it I had some creeping sedum....that wasn't earning its space.....so I dug all that out to make room for my day lilies......I planted the day lilies and watered them in......and then decided to transplant some little red salvia plants that were hidden under some tall cleome plants and deserved their own place in the sun. I got that accomplished and re-watered my work. It looks really nice! I thought that was going to be my last "thing that turned into a project".....BUT writing this answer probably qualifies as the very last "project".

Extra Credit Question:

Is your home "company ready" at this moment ? It depends on the company and the occassion.
If not how long would it take to make it "company ready" ? To put everything upstairs and downstairs to rights....and make it spick and span......at least a half a day. But if you dropped by right now.....I wouldnt be embarressed and you would probably comment on how nice everything looks.

Bonus Question:

How many catalogs do you get at your home ? We get about 8....and most of them are from stores that I like and where I have ordered.

Which is your favorite ? Lands End

Last time you ordered something from a catalog ? In early June.

Just for Fun:

What are your expected High & Low temps for today ?
82 and 57 respectively
How many of our QOTD family are still using their A/C ?
