To double the life of your dry erase marker when it starts to go dry:
Soak the tip in white vinegar for 10 seconds.
Lay out to dry for 10 minutes.
Good as new.
(This only works a couple of times during the life of the marker. I don't know if it will also work for regular markers. )
I keep a large bottle of vinegar at all times. I use it mostly to clean out the shower head that gets clogged with minerals. Soak it in vinegar for about 30 minutes and it works beautifully.
