I started out by searching for information on New York while sorting plans for a trip.
I thought it might be "fun" to discuss other miscellaneous topics on forum and communicate with people from all over the world.
But over time I disliked the amount of time I was spendng on City Data, and in the last several months found myself getting tired of "people". To curtail it I have stopped doing City Data at home. Will not even check in to peek. And at work I have restrictions. It has saved me a lot of time overall and am happier.

Found C-D when I was trying to narrow my focus as I searched for a state/city to retire, and have stayed because people are SO interesting!  |

I first visited this forum on a link from another website. I was reading a story about a construction project here in Texas I was interested in at the time so I clicked the link to the CD Texas forum and I've been here ever since! I was amazed at the incredible variety of topics on this site. Most of the people on this site are nice, so that also keeps me coming back. I was on another site for a while that's similar to this one but there were a lot of incredibly mean-spirited folks on that site with virtually no moderation. Even the mods on that site partcipated in attacks on other people, it was awful! Moderator cut: Discussing mod activities is against the TOS.

An old friend sent it to me. I think we were looking at future constructions in our area. I miss that friend but have met some really good people thru here.
