Never knew that about Lon Chaney but he sure scared the crap outta me as a child with his wolfman films. No, wait, that was Lon Chaney, Jr. not Sr. Not sure I ever saw Sr. in a movie.
Wouldn't it be fun, if for one day of the month or year, we banned use of vocabulary and had to communicate to one another without words, like our pets do, who do such a masterful job of it!
And keep it clean! No upraised middle fingers!
I'd also love to see them resurrect the silent films one day. No matter how many times I see an old silent film with Buster Keaton or Charlie Chaplin it's a guarantee for some good laughs. The comedic films of today can't compare, IMO!
Somehow seeing everyone peeing on trees and sniffing each others butts doesn't really appeal to me....
Silent films took a lot more talent than what they do today. Today, even singers become actors. With the women, as long as they LOOK good they are hired. Thanks, Sweetie Pie!

I have an older Buster Keaton silent film, it cracks me up everytime I see it. I also have a post-silent film Buster Keaton film, where he talks, and there's simply no comparison, the silent film wins hands down for laughter!
As long as they look good the women are hired? Well, let's not forget the men either. They say the era of future stars bedding down with Directors to get their first role is over. I'm simply not gullible enough to believe that!
And if we could only see some of those "silent film scenes"!
