The Nearly Impossible Question for Monday, March 7, 2011 is: In the last decade these have become almost extinct. According to the FCC, there were 2 million of them about a decade ago, now there are fewer than 700,000. What is it?

Analog phones!

Two cans attached with string. The FCC decided to regulate them, then it decided to tax them and then it told little kids what they could and couldn't say when they played with one so now they're becoming extinct.

But seriously, CB radios or TVs with antennae...hmm, I'll go with CB radios probably replaced with cell phones in the last decade.

Here we go with another batch of NIQ's to start the week off right....

The Nearly Impossible Question for Sunday, March 6, 2011 was: The very last one of these died in 1996. What was it?

The correct answer for the March 3, 2011 NIQ is: Chinese Eunuch. "Eunuch" is the Greek word for bed keeper but during their heyday in the Ming Dynasty they reached high positions of political power. The "family jewels" were cut off of young boys and they were sent to live with the royal families as slaves. The practice was meant to ensure that there was no hanky panky with royal wives and concubines. The practice lasted 1000 years in China. A small museum in China was recently renovated with an exhibit dedicated to the history of the practice.

The winners for todays NIQ are.... ZILCHO again!???

Let's see if we can get you guys on a roll with Monday's NIQ....

Looks like someone is a Flip Flopper. lol

Now I’m thinking about the “other” possible answer: Two Party Telephone Lines. I think they’re still out there in some areas of the country and with 700k it’s possible that it could be the correct answer.

I was actually thinking of UHF channels on the TV but I don't know exactly what that means.

So, I'll go with pay phones. Final answer,
