I asked a chick at work who uses one and she likes it because her back is constantly correcting and positioning itself. I asked our ergo people and they said they don't provide them.
I think you can pick them up at Big 5 sporting goods or something. I am considering trying one out.
Another alternative is the kneeling chair type thing

Its one of those exercise balls right? Seriously I could not sit on one of those things, simply because of my back (and the fact that I'm chubbers for it)
I think the ball chair is fine for a healthy back, maybe even provide ease for certain lower-back problems. But I have chronic upper-back problems, and the chair was very uncomfortable for me. No upper-back support.

Well.. I'm always sitting on my balls anyways, so I don't need a chair to help me with that....
I have noticed (since you all commented) that I don't use the back of my chair at all. It's my lower back where I get slouchy. I like the clip from "The Office." I want to work there! :-0
