I’d have to say no. It seems that we always hear of this “things in three” occurring but in reality all that is happening is that we “look” for the next occurrence to happen. Eventually we see three, and if we continue to look we’ll see four or five or six.
I agree with this.
When one bad thing happens I don't look for the next because then I would miss all the great things that happen between the two.
No. Things happen. Sometimes they are happy events, and sometimes they are not. That's life. Take the good and the not so good as it comes, and deal with what needs to be done when its needed. Half the suffering is from resisting what we face. The other half is judging it. If you just set those feelings aside and deal with what you need to do right now, you will be happier, and the problems may be resolved more quickly.
And remember, in 100 years, nothing will matter to you, anyway. So don't let it matter so much, now.
