Good morning everyone
Happy Wednesday

Another "toasty rainless" day here in NEFL
I am either going to wash my car or do a rain dance

But before I do that let me ask

Today's Question(s):

If your driving on the highway and come upon a Police car that is driving exactly the speed limit do you:
Join the group of cars following it at the same speed ?
Pass it,because everyone says "you can go a couple miles over and it is ok" ?
Grumble that he/she is doing it on purpose ?

Bonus Question:

Do you turn on the water in the shower:
Before you get in ?
After you get in ?

Extra Credit Question:

Have you ever been in a Canoe ?

lol Have you ever fallen out of a Canoe ?

Just for Fun:

When you were reading yesterdays "Today is" and saw it was International Clown Day did you think
That's fun I didn't know they had their own day ?
or
Clowns are just creepy ?

Today in History:
1492 - Christopher Columbus set sail on the "Santa Maria". He was accompanied by a crew of 90 and two more ships.
1880 - The American Canoe Association was formed at Lake George, NY.
1921 - 1st aerial cropdusting (Troy Ohio to kill caterpillars)
1933 - The world-famous Mickey Mouse Watch was introduced. The timepiece sold for $2.75. A Mickey Mouse Clock sold for $1.50. New models now sell for $25 or more and the original watches and clocks are worth hundreds of dollars.
1963 - Allan Sherman releases "Hello Mudda, Hello Fadda"
1977 - Radio Shack issues a press release introducing TRS-80 computer, within weeks thousands were ordered

Word of the Day:

hacienda \hah-see-EN-duh\ , noun;
1. A large estate, especially one used for farming or ranching.

Today is:

National Watermelon Day
National Waffle Day
National Nuts Day
Airplane Crop Duster Day
Canoe Day
National Park Day

Today's Question(s): Yayyy! I want some chicken!

If you're driving on the highway and come upon a police car that is driving exactly the speed limit do you:
Join the group of cars following it at the same speed?
Pass it,because everyone says, "you can go a couple miles over and it is ok" ?
Grumble that he/she is doing it on purpose?
I do not ever drive on "the highway". I would drive no more than the speed limit. I wouldn't pass the cop for that stupid reason.
I don't ever speed. .....

Bonus Question:

Do you turn on the water in the shower:
Before you get in? Nope.
After you get in? ~ Always. I don't waste water.

Extra Credit Question: Yayyy! I want something to eat!

Have you ever been in a Canoe? ~ Oh yeah.

lol Have you ever fallen out of a Canoe? ~ Nope!
I was on TV canoeing in the Everglades.

Just for Fun:

When you were reading yesterdays "Today is" and saw it was International Clown Day did you think
That's fun I didn't know they had their own day? ~ Nopey!
or
Clowns are just creepy? ~ Nopey!
I thought, "clowns suck".

Today in History:
1492 - Christopher Columbus set sail on the "Santa Maria". He was accompanied by a crew of 90 and two more ships. ~ Who cares. I'm only interested if they were fishing on the trip.
1880 - The American Canoe Association was formed at Lake George, NY. ~ So what, big deal.
1921 - 1st aerial cropdusting (Troy Ohio to kill caterpillars) ~ Well THAT was moronic!
1933 - The world-famous Mickey Mouse Watch was introduced. The timepiece sold for $2.75. A Mickey Mouse Clock sold for $1.50. New models now sell for $25 or more and the original watches and clocks are worth hundreds of dollars. ~ I hate that stupid jerk.
1963 - Allan Sherman releases "Hello Mudda, Hello Fadda" ~ I had the 45 rpm record.
1977 - Radio Shack issues a press release introducing TRS-80 computer, within weeks thousands were ordered ~ That must have been a real powerhouse of a computer.

Word of the Day:
hacienda \hah-see-EN-duh\ , noun;
1. A large estate, especially one used for farming or ranching.
I'd use it for cooking and eating.

Today is:
Wednesday
National Watermelon Day ~ Yayyy! Seedless watermelon!
National Waffle Day ~ Yayyy! I love waffles!
National Nuts Day ~ Yayyy! I want warm cashews and 5 pounds of pistachios from California!
Airplane Crop Duster Day ~ Shoot the son-of-a-bit*h out of the sky.
Canoe Day ~ I don't have a canoe...
National Park Day ~ Yayyy! I'll Park my truck and play all day!

Happy so-what big-deal day, everybody! Yayyyy!

This one - speeding tickets are very expensive here!
Pass it,because everyone says "you can go a couple miles over and it is ok" ?
I would only pass it if it was going below the speed limit - not much margin for error allowed here.
Grumble that he/she is doing it on purpose ?
LOL yup, this too.

Bonus Question:

Do you turn on the water in the shower:
Before you get in ?
I have to turn it on before I get in so I can get the temp right.
After you get in ?
If I did this, I'd have to put up with some 20 seconds of freezing cold water (the water sitting in the pipe between the tank and the shower) - not my idea of fun!

Extra Credit Question:

Have you ever been in a Canoe ?
Not exactly - I've been in a kayak once or twice.

lol Have you ever fallen out of a Canoe ?
Nope - which is just as well as I can't swim!

Just for Fun:

When you were reading yesterdays "Today is" and saw it was International Clown Day did you think
That's fun I didn't know they had their own day ?
or
Clowns are just creepy ?
I thought about my friend... she has a phobia about clowns. They freak her out big time. Fear of clowns is called Coulrophobia.

Have a great day!

I pass only if the Police officer is driving slower. Otherwise nothing to grumble about.

Bonus Question:

Do you turn on the water in the shower:
Before you get in ? Yep. I set and test the temp first.
After you get in ?

Extra Credit Question:

Have you ever been in a Canoe ? Never that I remember.

lol Have you ever fallen out of a Canoe ? No but I flipped a Jon Boat.

Today's Question(s):
If your driving on the highway and come upon a Police car that is driving exactly the speed limit do you:
Play it by ear.

If they seem disinterested in nearby motorists, (on the radio or computer or talking), I might EASE by.

If they're looking around at the cars nearby, (almost never) ...herd instinct.

If they're stopped on the shoulder, move over a lane or have the brake and signal lights going so they see I WANT to get over, but am blocked.

Bonus Question:
Do you turn on the water in the shower:
After getting in.

Extra Credit Question:
Have you ever been in a Canoe ?
No. That's why I'm dry.
lol Have you ever fallen out of a Canoe ?
There ya go. I have been in a boat and got splashed.

Just for Fun:
When you were reading yesterdays "Today is" and saw it was International Clown Day did you think
That's fun I didn't know they had their own day ? or Clowns are just creepy ?
Can't scare me with no stinkin' clowns.

Fools, possibly. Sorry, no politics.

Today is:
National Watermelon Day Watermelon Season.
National Waffle Day indecisiveness or breakfast pastry?
National Park Day

I'd rather be snorkeling.

Have a good day, folks!

Good morning everyone
Happy Wednesday Good Morning and Happy Humpday!

Another "toasty rainless" day here in NEFL
I am either going to wash my car or do a rain dance
It's finally going to cool down a bit around here.
But before I do that let me ask

Today's Question(s):

If your driving on the highway and come upon a Police car that is driving exactly the speed limit do you:
Join the group of cars following it at the same speed ?

Pass it,because everyone says "you can go a couple miles over and it is ok" ?
Grumble that he/she is doing it on purpose ?

It depends on where this happens.... in town or out in the country, how many others are behind them already {where I am in that lineup}, and which officer is ahead of me {LOL}. Small town means you know many of them and around here, they are usually the ones passing people.

Bonus Question:

Do you turn on the water in the shower:
Before you get in ?
After you get in ?

Extra Credit Question:

Have you ever been in a Canoe ?
yes

lol Have you ever fallen out of a Canoe ? Thankfully no

Today is:
National Watermelon Day
National Waffle Day Topped with strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream -- YUMMY!
National Nuts Day Whoo Hoo! I have been known to be rather "nuts" so this must be a day for me!
Airplane Crop Duster Day Have seen several around here lately but more helicopter dusters for some reason.

Canoe Day Pass
National Park Day I would like to get a chance to see many of them!

Have a great day all!

After you get in ? This one. I have a "routine" Turn on shower, turn on exhaust fan in the toilet room part of the bathroom, turn on ceiling fan
I do not like getting out of the shower into a steamy bathroom during the summer.

Extra Credit Question:

Have you ever been in a Canoe ? Yes

lol Have you ever fallen out of a Canoe ? yuppers I learned fast you do not stand up in a canoe

Just for Fun:

Nancy and I would occasionally rent a canoe and float down the Fox River. Stop somewhere for lunch.

lol Have you ever fallen out of a Canoe
and stay dry
