It never ceases to amaze me when I look at historic photos or see antique clothing in museums: How small-boned people were compared to now! They were shorter, their shoulders were narrower, and their waists were comparatively tiny. Even the shoes look small. I am guessing that the improved nutrition and health care we began to enjoy in the 20th century has led to humans gradually increasing in size.
