Here's the story I was told before going on my first date..to prevent going parking, (and I actually believed it ) !!

A teenage boy drove his date up the dark winding road to the top of deserted West Rock to "go parking". After turning on the radio low to a slow song, the couple embraced and kissed.

A short while later, the music suddenly stopped and an announcer's voice came on, warning in an urgent tone that a convicted murderer had just escaped from the state insane asylum — which happened to be located not far from this secluded park — and that anyone who noticed a strange man lurking about with a hook in place of his right hand should immediately report his whereabouts to the police.

The girl became frightened and asked to be taken home. The boy, feeling bold, locked all the doors instead and, assuring his date they would be safe, attempted to kiss her again. There was a tap, tap, tap, on the side of the car. The girl became frantic and pushed him away, insisting that they leave. Relenting, the boy peevishly jerked the car into gear and spun its wheels as he pulled out of the parking space.

When they arrived at the girl's house she got out of the car, and, reaching to close the door, began to scream uncontrollably. The boy ran to her side to see what was wrong and there, dangling from the door handle, was a bloody hook hand. Boo!

Being a parent has made me almost scare-proof. But, living on a haunted farm, well, I do have a few tales to tell...

The first time I met Junior, our yard ghost, it was 3am. I was walking to my truck to go pick up my son from work. I had the feeling that someone was behind me, a big someone. I turned-nothing. The feeling persisted until I was inside and driving away. Not so much scary as unnerving.
I told my son about it on the ride home, turns out I wasn't the only one. He had felt it too.
Several more times the same thing happened, always late at night. To be honest, it felt like I was being escorted. He would walk with me from the house, to the truck and when I returned, back to the house. Comforting in a strange way.
At first, he didn't show himself. Gradually, over time, we would catch just a glimpse of someone walking past the windows. Like a security guard making his rounds.
We've become used to Junior and he to us. Company? Well, that's another story.....

I always thought there was some thing odd about this big old house we lived in and hated living there. It just had a bad vibe to it.

I used to sleepwalk to go to the bathroom, I was about 9 at this time. My parents had gone to see the Exocist at the theater. Just like the movie there was an attic door in the ceiling in the hallway just outside my bedroom. My mom opened my door and saw me sitting in the dark on the end of my bed. She said something to me and I didn't move. She got creeped out and said something again and apparently I just turned my head real slow and just looked at her. I was asleep and she frickin' freaked out after just seeing that movie.

I was reading that book, right in the middle of a Florida thunderstorm. I had just gotten to the crab walking down the stairs part when....BOOM! All the lights go out.

Scared the living **** out of me!

Default Flower arrangement

My daughter had ordered some tulips delivered to me from one of those mail order flower companies. The flowers are delivered in a box with instructions, vase, etc. After getting the delivery, I opened the box and put the tulips in a vase of water as per the instructions. I set the vase on our kitchen table. I didn't try to arrange them, I just stuck them in the water in any old manner. Then my husband and I left the house for the day.

We returned that evening and found that the tulips had been arranged in a perfectly symmetrical shape! Nice and rounded, arranged so that no matter which angle we viewed it from gave it the same gorgeous, even appearance. To top it off, there were tulip petals in the kitchen sink which was about ten feet from the table.

Odd...

Default tip toe through the tulips with who?

What a great yet strange story. I cannot stop thinking about it..really, that is so weird, especially the petals on the floor. (Twilight Zone music"
