Good morning peevers.

Things are moving forward here and I hope to have most of the emergency drying equipment out today. The exterminator returns and I hope that all is successful there.

I've just given the cat some food from a pouch, and what a pen and ink (stink). Must keep you abreast of Cockney rhyming slang.

So, my dear peevers, there is our POTD;

Unpleasant food odours.

Or should that be odors?

By the way, let us know which food smells you detest.

In my little corner, it would be odours.. Rather odiforous any way you want to look at it. I detest the smell of liver or wild meat cooking.

Great peeve Jezer.

I can't stand the smell of coffee.

My SIL thinks that I have a super sensitive nose...........so many smells that I notice that she doesn't. Skunks and pigs would be at the top of my dislike list.

I agree with GloryB about the lamb. How can something that tastes so good smell so bad?

Burned microwave popcorn! The smell lingers for days.

Boiling eggs.

Kidneys. My grandmother was British. One of her favorite dishes was Steak and Kidney Pie. Pre boiling the kidneys , well, it's kinda like uh, ......never mind. The finished product is good though!

Have you tried soaking it in milk for a few hours before cooking it? It helps!

Hadn't tried it; thanks for the tip! I found a unique solution though -- let someone else cook it!
