ever thought about other advanced civilizations that could have possibly inhabited earth before the dinosaur era? maybe they were wiped out or became extinct too far back for modern man to know about?

we could just be another species that started later on

or there could be other civilizations far away in another universe

Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble were pretty civilized...well maybe not.

I believe there could be other civilizations in the universe. We might want to be looking now so when we completely ruin Earth we will have somewhere to go.

So far there is no physical evidence (that I know of) to support that theory. For example, no one has ever dug up a computer that is 200,000 years old. And I think scientists have produced reasonable time line of the activities on earth from the time the earth could have possible been habitable. There may be no period of time during which a human like species could have evolved and reached such an advancement. I don't know.

But reaching back to the other post...I once read a post on CD that put human existence into perspective. Suppose time goes to infinity in both directions. And suppose the universe is infinite and there is an infinite amount of planets which means there is an infinite number of earths and randomness of events has been happening for infinity. That means this is the infinith time someone named Charles has been typing this post on CD.

You are too modest. I think that, even given infinity, there can only be one Charles.

The Bible gives indication of it, but the subject is still out for debate.

What does it say about it?

I think if we look at the things our predecessors did, the ways they did things, the creativity involved in some of the things they did is just ingenious. Think of building the Coleseum in Rome or the Leaning Tower of Pisa (although that's probably not the best example) or building the Pyramids and the Sphinx and underground tunnels and all of those things, put in perspective, they are all highly advanced. Look at how long ago the telescope was invented. Or beer!

Life is an ever growing thing, some are ahead of, us some are behind us. In the news recently there was an article about the possible discovery of another planet just like ours a jillion (sic) miles away, give or take a few million.
