My family and I are going to rent a place in Ma. in the next few months. We have four small dogs and have had an uphill battle trying to find a good rental that would take all of us. One dog, usually, sometimes the fours, but we will not give away all of our dogs! Two are my 14 year old son's and the other two are mine. My question to other renters with small dogs and landlords is....would three dogs be a deal breaker as opposed to two in a rental situation? Any good suggestions are very much welcomed as this is a heartbreaking situation to have to give one or two of them to someone else.
I personally wouldn't want one dog never mind three. I won't even allow friends over my house with a dog after a friend came over with his Jack Russel Terrier and he turned the place upside down. I think you should make some phone calls and see if you could find a place.
Is this the positive feedback, if so I would hate to see what the negative one's look like. Plus I didn't ask about moving with four dogs, I had asked if it would make a difference to a landlord if you had two or three dogs, not four! Thanks anyway.
Most rentals, if they allow pets at all, have a maximum weight or number. Usually 2 is the limit. So yes, luck will be needed to find that individual you need who is dog friendly and willing to work with you. Liz
