I know this is off the topic today..... However, as we all spend time worrying about many different things, let's take some time to be thankful we have the opportunity to even ponder and discuss issues. All these things we find important at the moment will only be a little blip on the radar of life. Hug your kids. Be good to each other. Remember there are solutions to everything if we are willing to look for them.
God bless you all.

Thanks for inspiring words!

Put another way:

As I stand on the ledge of life
I stare into the abyss and see
a light that comes forth my way.
It is a light of bright from
heavens perhaps or a glowing of
light from the gates of the underworld.
I have a choice on this ledge to
fall and be consumed with worry
or rise and follow
the light of the world.
I pick to rise knowing gavity is
working against me but my soul
shall overcome thy fear and rise
again and again for that is my
choice and no one elses.

Good bless.

Some may have let the lessons of that day fade but I never will. I dragged both my kids out of bed this morning with rib-crunching bear hugs and didn't care when they squirmed and complained.

As I experience my first anniversary living in North Carolina it's the first time I've felt homesick. Down here it's a national tragedy but for most New Yorker's it remains a personal tragedy as well.

Thanks for starting the thread.

Yes let's all take a moment and think about those who we love that are alive and those that have already left us. Sometimes I think we forget how lucky we are to be living in such a wonderful community and we get caught up in who said or did what! I try to ponder a few times a day to thank God for all the wonderful things in my life, my family, friends, steady job, and of course the beautiful state of North Carolina!

I still remember when we could walk from our apt to the WTC in about 15 minutes. It's hard to believe it's gone.

My dad and I used to visit the underground city beneath WTC and shop in the stores.

Yes, it's time to be thankful for the good things the Lord has done in our lives. At work this morning we had a moment of silence. I used it to pray for the dead, their loved ones, and the rescue workers who lost their health in the disaster.

It was very nice of you to start this thread. I really do hope our paths may one day cross.

Hope your family does well in your move here. God bless.
