Good morning everyone and welcome to Tuesday's QOTD. I spent a substantial portion of the day at the local Council offices, trying to lodge plans to convert my garage to a usable room. It’s back to the drawing board on the plans, and an armful of application papers to complete.

Today’s Question:

Today is National Plumbers’ Day. When was the last time you had to call a plumber and what task did you need them to undertake?

Extra Credit Question :

The IBM-PC was introduced on this day in 1981. How long after this did you obtain your first computer at home?

Bonus Question:

How many keys do you have on your key chain?

How many of those keys do you actually use on a regular basis?

Just for Fun:

What was your last home remodelling/decorating project?

Today in History:

1833 Patent granted for first soda fountain
1865 Fire alarm and police telegraph system put into operation in San Francisco
1908 Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Murdock become 1st to travel across U.S. by car, they leave Los Angeles in a Packard and arrive in New York City in 32d-5h-25m
1969 Paul McCartney says there is no truth to rumors he is dead
1981 IBM-PC computer introduced
1990 West and East Germany agree to merge currency and economies on July 1st

Today’s Question:

<*whispering so as not to taunt the plumbing gods*>

I haven't had to call a plumber in the past few years. However, there are a couple renovation projects that I'd like to do that will require a plumber's skills, so I may be calling one in the relatively near future.

Extra Credit Question :

The IBM-PC was introduced on this day in 1981. How long after this did you obtain your first computer at home?

We were late bloomers, as we didn't get our first computer until around 1996. It was a Gateway desktop, and we started out on AOL dialup.

Bonus Question:

How many keys do you have on your key chain?

Around 10.

How many of those keys do you actually use on a regular basis?

Three: the house key, the car key, and the "semi-master" key that opens the exterior doors and classrooms at school.

Just for Fun:

What was your last home remodelling/decorating project?

I just had the front and back decks redone, and they look AMAZING !!! Next up -- painting the house.

Greetings Kobber.

Have you been reading my posts and threads?

Today’s Question:

Today is National Plumbers’ Day. When was the last time you had to call a plumber and what task did you need them to undertake?

I've had so many plumbers here in the last few months that I don't want to think about it!

Our own plumber has had the fix the mess left by the so called emergency plumbing company that we were signed up to. They couldn't fix a leak that led to the entire kitchen being replaced- see below.

I've just got the monies that we sued that company for.

Extra Credit Question :

The IBM-PC was introduced on this day in 1981. How long after this did you obtain your first computer at home?

Around 1990 I think.

Bonus Question:

How many keys do you have on your key chain? Two.

How many of those keys do you actually use on a regular basis? Both.

Just for Fun:

What was your last home remodelling/decorating project?

For fun? For fun??

Hall, landing, stairs, roof space, entire kitchen, entire utility room, garage.
