The wife and I played poker for years, figure we made about 10,000 over 4 years then quit. Mostly because we moved and couldn't find a game lol.

At a single sitting - $750 playing Blackjack for a couple of hours. Wife won almost as much at the same table. That was the hottest BJ table I've ever sat down at.

Won $600 at BJ another time, but it took 6 hours. Still $100 an hour is pretty good for what I consider entertainment.

Thought you played poker as well...? The only game you can beat in the long run. Unless your the MIT Blackjack team.. which has come back with a really cool twist.

Poker mostly on line. So far about $100 and (3) 4 day Caribbean cruise/4 day Orlando stays.

Have to find 4 more people to take or figure on doing more than one since we have a year to use them.

I am going next Tuesday to play no limit then a tourney. Top spot is usually about $1600 - haven't got it yet, but...

We are planning on practicing card counting the next time we go to Vegas just to see if we can do better.

BTW: Iowa or Texas?

I won $50 the other day, but it was playing on-line poker (Texas Hold Em). The funny part is... I really don't know how to play. I really just look for pretty cards.

The best winning I have kind of been a part of happened during one of those "I can't believe we did that" moments of stupidity. When I was in college, 2 friends and I went to CT (from Maine) to visit some friends and everything (gas, hotels, etc) had cost a lot more than we had planned on. We had exactly $20 left between the three of us (this was before everyone had debit cards, and although I had some money in my checking account, I couldn't do anything with it as that I was not even in my own state) and decided to take it to Foxwoods Casino. Worst case scenario, we would lose the $20 and have to have someone wire us enough to get home (which we would have had to do anyway... $20 was not enough to get home on!). So my friend Rick starts playing the slot machines. Lost about $15, and then all of a sudden, his machine starts going crazy- bells, whistles, lights- spitting out quarters faster than we could grab cups. He won over $600. Not only did we make it home just fine, but we went out for a nice dinner on the way, too.

I play $1 per day on the regular daily numbers game (http://www.masslottery.com/games/numbersgame.html - broken link). I play to get an exact match on all 4. I hit it once back in 1998. Since that time, I have been playing the same 4-digit number every day, and it still has not hit. I made $5k the one time I did hit it.
