I mentioned this before, probably on another thread, in some lotteries, if you purchase the same number of tickets that equal the odds of winning, they'll guarantee you a winning number. I'm not sure if the Powerball does that, but I believe your chances of winning in the Powerball are about 1 in 100 million, so if you buy 100 million tickets, you'll be guaranteed a winning number.. that would be a good investment if the jackpot were over 325 million, which would have a cash value of about 125 million (after taxes) so a 25 million dollar return on the investment, in a short period of time, wouldn't be that bad, that is assuming you won't have to share the winnings with somebody else who matched all 6 numbers.

It all comes down to fate. If you’re supposed to win you will, if not ~ you’ve donated a dollar towards helping someone else win. I like helping others.

That is not really how it works because the powerball number has to be in the correct space at the end. I heard a talk radio show say that there is no sure way to win even if you bought tons of tickets. In the Florida lotto a man flew in from another state and bought 8,000 tickets and didn't win anything!
