Can you explain this?

I think I would be more likely to play the big lotteries if there were 200 one million dollar winners as opposed to 1 two hundred million dollar winner.

I've been playing our state lottery off & on since its inception -- back in the late 80s. The most I ever won in one drawing was $74 for having 4 numbers. I haven't hit 3 in I can't even remember when so I've almost quit unless it gets up to 20 mil or so - like 3 or 6 mil isn't worth playing for!

Why I never buy lottery tickets in the town/city I live in? Because I witnessed firsthand what happens. People are just plain nuts. If you buy the ticket in a large city or a neighboring town there are lower odds of there being a huge interest abuzz in the city you live in as the winning ticket was not purchased there. Believe me, after seeing it happen firsthand, this is the rule for us.

Got it. I hadn't considered the angle that one might actually win the prize. I don't mean that to come across as sarcasm either. I was strictly thinking numbers and odds. Naivety on my part.

I worked with a girl here in Florida that won 250,000.00. She used it to buy a home.
