Good morning peevers.

We're due for some very nasty weather today. It's become so unsettled of late.

Now then, Mrs J is like Mary Poppins- practically perfect in every way. (By the way, she is the one who wrote that signature above on the day I left her to do the POTD! )

So, having established Mrs J's credentials, why can't she switch off electrical and other equipment off properly? I just went to the washing machine and it was like that. Switch on the engine of her car and on comes headlights/radio/windscreen wipers.

The POTD, which may not bother some people, is;

Not switching things off properly.

Not switching things off properly.

I brought my elderly MIL home from an appointment to find that she had left a stove burner on. Thank goodness we were not gone long or there could have been a fire. Now I always check her stove before we leave the house.

Good peeve, Jez. I'm good about turning things off when I'm not using them. I even turn lights off at the office when I see that people aren't using them.

When I'm not using my PC at home, it is shut down and the power is off. It's nuts to let it - and monitor and printer on standby - suck up electricity if it's not going to be used for hours.

I think every computer and TV stays on in our house most of the time.....even when people are sleeping. I'm just tired of fussing about it, so I no longer say anything to the kids.
