Good morning!!!

What's the funniest or oddest thing that's ever happened on a date for you or someone you know?
Hmm!! havent been on that many formal dates. I did meet my DH at his hotel one time when he was in town. We never made it to dinner

Have you ever really counted sheep to get to sleep?
No...that seems like to much work when I am trying to go back to sleep. I have to picture the sheep "and" count, lol.

If not, what do you do to get to sleep that you can tell us about?
I toss and turn until I can't stand it anymore...then I get up and read in the living room.

How do you like your eggs?
Scrambled soft but not runny.

What do you want with them?
Ketchup and salt always...and once in awhile I like to break up pieces of bacon in them...yum.

What's the weirdest thing you've ever vacuumed or found in the vacuum bag?
Birdseed. The mice were stealing the birdseed from our feeder and hiding it in our motorhome.

Wonderful picture. Thank you Lamplight. And thank you bjh for the QOD.

Have a terrific Thursday!!!!

Today's Question:
What's the funniest or oddest thing that's ever happened on a date for you or someone you know?
I married my high school sweetheart and divorced him twenty years later. A friend commented that it must be odd as I'd not been without someone since my teens..... I decided to stay single for a while and found I liked it, so dating for me is ancient history.
Bonus Question:

Have you ever really counted sheep to get to sleep? No

If not, what do you do to get to sleep that you can tell us about?
I don't usually have trouble getting to sleep.....It's staying asleep that's the problem & nothing helps with that. My mother used to count backwards by 3s.

Foodie Question:
How do you like your eggs?
In an omelet with cheese, onions, peppers, mushrooms.... Or sometimes hard boiled and cut up in a salad.
Just for fun:
What's the weirdest thing you've ever vacuumed or found in the vacuum bag? My parents used to vacuum their dog. He loved it!

Beautiful picture, Lamplight!

My day will be spent with my granddaughters. Berry picking, some time at the pool & a concert on the green tonight. Have a great day, all!

Today's Questions: Happy Thursday folks!

What's the funniest or oddest thing that's ever happened on a date for you or someone you know?
~ I had a date and we were riding along on my motorcycle and a cop pulled us over for going too fast.
As the cop was talking with me on the side of the rode, this girl started telling me off for getting us pulled over. The cop looked at her and said, "You're Italian, aren't you"? "Yes, I am", she replied.
At that point the cop looked back at me and said, "you go ahead now and go wherever you're going. You've got enough problems already". No ticket, nothin'.

Bonus Question:

Have you ever really counted sheep to get to sleep?
~Yes.

If so, did it work?
~ Yes, of course.

If not, what do you do to get to sleep that you can tell us about?
~ Trendy chemical amusement aids.

Foodie Question:

How do you like your eggs?
~ Every style. I am an egg ace.

What do you want with them?
~ Everything.

Just for fun:

What's the weirdest thing you've ever vacuumed or found in the vacuum bag?
~ I was on a paint job by myself. There was a nest, swarming with big wasps up on the soffitt.
....hehehe....boldly springing into action........I grabbed a big industrial shop-vac and carried it up a step ladder and jammed the nozzle end, real fast, over the nest. I held it in place for perhaps 30 seconds and then I quickly came down off of the ladder and sucked up lots of sand into the vacuum so that it would render the rotten bastards unflyable! ....it worked like a charm!

Today’s Word:

flitch [flich]: noun;
The side of a hog (or, formerly, some other animal) salted and cured: ex: a flitch of bacon.
I want one!

Today Is:

Daiquiri Day ~ Love frozen daquiris. Gimma a frozen strawberry daquiri with a double Myers rum floater, please!

Flitch Day - Since the 1100s a flitch was presented every year at Dunmow, Essex, England to any
married couple who could convince a mock jury of bachelors and maidens that they had lived together
without quarreling for a year and a day.
~ Cool idea. Fun!

Thanks, BJH....good job! All you fine folks have a delicious day and evening!
HappyWishes and MiracleWishes for all those that could use them!

Today's Question:
What's the funniest or oddest thing that's ever happened on a date for you or someone you know?
Ugh dating..........was never very good at that. On my first date with my 2nd husband we went for a motorcycle ride and stopped to take a walk in some woods. I went to step over a log and tripped and fell and sprained my leg! Had to wear a brace for the next couple of weeks. Just call me "Grace".

Bonus Question:
Have you ever really counted sheep to get to sleep? Yes I have

If so, did it work? Um no, it doesn't work

If not, what do you do to get to sleep that you can tell us about?
I have no tried and true method, that's why I'm up at night sometimes

Foodie Question:
How do you like your eggs?
Just about any way will do, but no peppers or onions

What do you want with them? grits, bacon and peanut butter toast

Just for fun:
What's the weirdest thing you've ever vacuumed or found in the vacuum bag?
I don't recall but I'm sure there has been some weird things over the years

Flitch Day - Since the 1100s a flitch was presented every year at Dunmow, Essex, England to any
married couple who could convince a mock jury of bachelors and maidens that they had lived together
without quarreling for a year and a day...well that's a strange tradition

1976 Afternoon Delight - Starland Vocal Band

Welcome to the Thursday QOTD! I hope your week has been a good one.

Today's Question:
What's the funniest or oddest thing that's ever happened on a date for you or someone you know?

My dating experiences were so traumatic that I blocked them out.

Bonus Question:
Have you ever really counted sheep to get to sleep? Nope.

If so, did it work?

If not, what do you do to get to sleep that you can tell us about? Count backwards from 100. I never make it to 1.

Foodie Question:
How do you like your eggs? Anyway but runny. I love them hard-boiled or scrambled. The best way is in a frittata.

What do you want with them? Any meat will do. This morning I had leftover baked chicken with my eggs.

Just for fun:
What's the weirdest thing you've ever vacuumed or found in the vacuum bag? An old earring.

Mornin' all! We finally got some good rain up here in Northwest Indiana. Yay! I just wish the rest of the country cold get all the rain it needs.

Today's Question:
What's the funniest or oddest thing that's ever happened on a date for you or someone you know?
A friend's boyfriend once brought her 8 roses. Eight?!?!?!

Bonus Question:
Have you ever really counted sheep to get to sleep?
I have tried it on a few occasions.

If so, did it work?
Not so far.

If not, what do you do to get to sleep that you can tell us about?
I usually get into a mode of thinking about something pleasant. As much as I want to stay awake thinking about it, the pleasantness relaxes me and I fall asleep.

Foodie Question:
How do you like your eggs?
Yes! I love eggs! My two favorite ways to eat them are hard boiled with nothing on them, or fried with a soft yolk for dipping. And fried eggs are best with crispy brown edges. None of those perfectly pristine white fried eggs like they show on TV for me!

What do you want with them?
If they're fried, I want hash burnts with onions, soy bacon (the kind in the green box), and toast with butter and blackberry preserves. Hmmm...I think I know what's for breakfast this morning!

Just for fun:
What's the weirdest thing you've ever vacuumed or found in the vacuum bag?
I slipped a nylon over the hose to find my hard contact lens. Worked like a charm!
