No.

If so, which one do you prefer?

Of all the late-night talk show hosts you’ve ever seen, either currently or in the past, who is your favorite?

Johnny Carson

What do you like about that particular host?

He was simply the best. He was a great interviewer, genuinely funny, and his dialouge with Ed and Doc was hilarious...lol. Every late night talk show host has tried to emulate Carson is some way or another.

Extra Credit Question:

Did you participate in scouting as a youngster?
Yes

If so, which scouting organization did you participate in? Boy Scouts.

Do you have any particularly fun or amusing memories of scouting you’d like to share? Not really, I was only in the boy scouts for a short time.

For those of you who are parents, have you ever participated as a scout leader for your children’s scouting activities?

Bonus Question:

Do you (or does your wife/girlfriend/mother) wear lipstick?
I don't have a girlfriend right now. My mom doesn't wear lipstick very often.

If so, what color do you (or do they) prefer to wear? I'm not sure....lol.

If not, why not?

Yes

Today’s Question(s):

Do you watch any of the late-night talk shows?
Nope. I watch the prime-time ones, though, like Bill Maher. I heart Bill Maher. And Jon Stewart.

Extra Credit Question:

Did you participate in scouting as a youngster?
Yes.

If so, which scouting organization did you participate in?
Brownies for two years, Girl Scouts for one.

Do you have any particularly fun or amusing memories of scouting you’d like to share?
When I was a Brownie, there was this one mean little Girl Scout who liked to go around slapping people in the face. Then one day, one of the Brownies in my troop, who was big for her age, beat the tar out of her. I can't say I wasn't amused.

For those of you who are parents, have you ever participated as a scout leader for your children’s scouting activities?
My mom was a leader for my Brownie troop on year.

Bonus Question:

Do you (or does your wife/girlfriend/mother) wear lipstick?
Yes.

If so, what color do you (or do they) prefer to wear?
I like Alba's Terra Gloss in Blaze. It's a bit more burgundy than the photo. That's my usual. But I will also wear neutrals (soft light browns), femme fatale reds, pink glosses, and the ubiquitous, in-every-single-gift-pack Raspberry Glace, which is a frosty, well, raspberry color, from Clinique. I have about 6 of those, given to me from my sisters, on whom it just doesn't look right. Lipstick makes a HUGE difference on women over 40, whose lips are starting to thin and turn pale. It brightens up the face and gives it more proportion. I can't imagine going out without some form of lip color. If I'm pressed for time, I'll forgo eyeliner (unheard of in my 20s and 30s) in favor of lip color.

Now I look for products that are cruelty-free, which is another reason I love Alba's stuff.

Just for Fun:

It’s National Chicken Wing Day! Are you a fan of chicken wings?

I haven't eaten chicken in 7 or 8 years. That was the first meat to go.

[quote=MidwesternBookWorm;25387428]Good Sunday morning, friends! It’s going to be another warm one in south-central Wisconsin, and a day that is likely to be punctuated by a sound that hasn’t been heard hereabouts since early June. We’ve finally gotten some rain in the past ten days, and the long-dormant grass, crunchy and brown for the past month, has reawakened, greened up and started growing again. As a result, I’m expecting to hear the sound of lawnmowers off and on all day, as our neighbors groom their newly shaggy lawns back into smoothness, if not perfection. I don’t know if this heralds the end of the drought, but even if it’s only a brief reprieve, it’s very welcome indeed.

And speaking of welcome, you are all most welcome to our daily conversation! On that note, let’s dive right into:

Today’s Question(s):

Do you watch any of the late-night talk shows?...Not anymore, but sometimes I'll catch the opening dialog of Jimmy Kimmel. He has some clever writers. I used to like Letterman as well.

If so, which one do you prefer? Letterman.

Of all the late-night talk show hosts you’ve ever seen, either currently or in the past, who is your favorite?.....Johnny Carson.

What do you like about that particular host?....He was smooth and had a certain class about him.

Extra Credit Question:

Did you participate in scouting as a youngster?....Yes

If so, which scouting organization did you participate in? .....Brownies, Girl Scouts.

Do you have any particularly fun or amusing memories of scouting you’d like to share? ...No I hated it, my mother made me do it.

For those of you who are parents, have you ever participated as a scout leader for your children’s scouting activities?

Bonus Question:

Do you (or does your wife/girlfriend/mother) wear lipstick?....No

If so, what color do you (or do they) prefer to wear?

If not, why not?....I think it started because my mother wanted a silly, frilly girl and I was the complete opposite. She wanted me to grow up and be a secretary. I laughed and said I would have one instead. Then I saw a program about the cosmetics industry and animal testing. That and the chemical content was a total turn off. Just like veal. Won't touch that with a ten foot pole. There's enough horror in the meat industry without torturing baby cows for pale nutritionally void meat. Yet another example of mans arrogance.

Just for Fun:

It’s National Chicken Wing Day! Are you a fan of chicken wings?...Yes, my favorite part of the chicken. I wish I could be a vegetarian. I tried but I can't do it.

What kind of sauce do you like on your chicken wings?
...I like them without sauce.

Today’s Question(s):

Do you watch any of the late-night talk shows? Not very often, it's either movies or late night music for me, but occasionally I watch Jay Leno.

If so, which one do you prefer? Leno over everyone else.

Of all the late-night talk show hosts you’ve ever seen, either currently or in the past, who is your favorite? Johnny Carson by far.

What do you like about that particular host? Carnac-the magnificent! And listening to Ed McMahon tell the audience "Carnac, I now hold in my hand the FINAL envelope for tonight!" And the audience all stands up to give Ed a huge ovation, and then there's the response. Loved it!

Extra Credit Question:

Did you participate in scouting as a youngster? Sure did.

If so, which scouting organization did you participate in? Boy Scouts.

Do you have any particularly fun or amusing memories of scouting you’d like to share? Lots of fun and amusing memories, but one long lasting memory. Our scout troop participated with the city regarding food drives and other community service things. We went one time to a home and had an experience that stayed with me. One of my friends was on our neighborhood baseball team, was a good player. When we delivered several boxes of groceries and got inside the house, I was floored when I saw him in there.

His dad got in an industrial accident, but none of his kids knew about it or him for that matter as he was usually pretty quiet. When you're a kid and playing little league baseball in the 50's, you talk about Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays, and all the other stars. Then you buy ten cards in a pack for a nickel at your local mom and pop grocery store and trade baseball cards with your friends. Most of the kids in the scout troop were on the team as well.

For those of you who are parents, have you ever participated as a scout leader for your children’s scouting activities? Never did, and regret that too.

Bonus Question:

Do you (or does your wife/girlfriend/mother) wear lipstick?

If so, what color do you (or do they) prefer to wear?

If not, why not?

Just for Fun:

It’s National Chicken Wing Day! Are you a fan of chicken wings? Yeppirs!

Since Im kinda pale in many aspects, yes I wear lipstick or lipliner then fill in with a tinted balm. Usually in shades or darker reds or bronze-ish.
And bring on the chicken wings, the hotter the better!
