Not a whole lot going on here. Went to a couple of farmers roadside markets, to a lake, did some country road trips, there was a parade in town, just driving, and of course work. Im hoping to go to the lake tomorrow, being off tomorrow and Saturday it would sure be nice.

Hot, Hot, Hot.....

My Summer has been - Well it's been... Hot, Hot, Hot.... 100's and no rain!

But Hey - The Cowboys are in town and I'm going to the Rodeo tomorrow! I managed to get some autographs yesterday and I'm in my glory. Even a Born NYer can love a cowboy!

I'm still in the process of wrangling up some horses... I love the the Open Wide Country... I'm back where I lived 5+ years ago. Can't say I'm happy as I was then, but the Summer has been strange, nonetheless. I think the heat has finally gotten to me...

My daughter and her family visited, spent some quality time with my only granddaughter. She's amazing!

No corn crop this year. Too hot, but everything else is growing great.

Finally laid the law down to my MIL about staying out of my business. Felt great. She's probably still looking up some of the words I used.

Due to the wildfires just up the road, we've had a lot of extra wildlife visit the ranch. Raccoons, mountain lions and a bear, oh my!

Then there was the shootings......a friend of my youngest daughter almost lost her cousin Caleb in that. He's alive but sadly, he'll never be the same.

It has been a hot summer but in a few months autumn will be here. Falls here are usually in the 80s & the nights are cool. At night i do throw on a light blanket but i do run my electric fan on med all night.

It sure has been a hot summer & early fall. I miss the crisp cool autumn days in penna i experienced growing up. I hope to someday go back to pa for a visit. Fall would be the best time cause i want to see the leaves change their colors. I know i could always drive up to nearby angeles oaks which i might. Its apple season their & the apple pies & apples are quite good but very expensive. I always buy a candy apple at the candy store when i visit angeles oaks. Its just ashame my car gets horrible mpg & gas is very high.

The UK did not really have a 'summer'. It was the second wettest on record and was a flipping washout.

In ca during the summer it gets dark around 8:30 pm. In penna it got dark around 9:30 pm & in germany around 10:30 pm. The winters here are quite short & its predicted to be a harsh winter here. Im not sure if thats true or false but i do know were overdue.

"Summer" in San Francisco? Ha! It was nothing but fog, fog and more fog. There were days on end when we didn't see the sun at all, and the temperature didn't go above the mid-60s. I'd prefer this climate to unrelenting heat, but a little bit of summer would be nice. Now that it's October, suddenly we are having a heat wave. It was 90º and clear in San Francisco today, and it's supposed to be just as hot tomorrow. I'm enjoying it while it lasts.

Depressing, and I am too glad that it's now over.

I did absolutely nothing but sweat in hot weather and then end up having to go to several interviews for places that never hired me. Oh, and some of the ice cream was good.
