I see that there are one or two Olympic themed threads up and the POTD, though not specifically on those Games, is inspired by some of the interviewers there.
Ever watched telly and seen someone being interviewed and you wonder why they were asked such a bloody stupid question? I have and many a time, but this thread isn't about me - I want to hear your thoughts because the POTD is;

I think they must have a script they have to follow, always the same questions. Theyre gonna get the same answers why do they keep trying to change the way they word them??
Good morning peevers.

Morning Jezer: I can't think of any one particular question that an interviewer might ask that would probably make me think "what a bloody stupid question". However, there is one commercial that two lawyers here in the States have on the "telly" that makes me nutz. They say something along the lines of..ever, trip, fall or perhaps injure yourself in an accident or even perhaps DIE..Call 1-800 blah, blah, blah. Well ok....how am I gonna be able to call ANYONE if I die?? Every time it is on I go crazy. Stupid commercial. I haven't really been watching much of the Olympics except for when Michael Phelps swims or Gabby does her floor exercises for the USA. Just can't seem to work up an interest in the games. In all honesty, the interviewers don't bother me half as much as the commercials do.

Boy, you nailed that one, Jezer. This happens so often, I'm amazed at the idiotic questions these so-called professionals come up with sometimes.

Yes yes yes, stupid questions to politicians, celebrites and the worst ones are news people when someone is hurt badly or killed and asking a sobbing person how they feel about what happened.
Oh my Goodness, this is one of my biggest pet peeves. I also hate it when, after a news story, I am yelling at the TV, "Ask this_____, ask this_______," because they have not given me any of the useful information I want.
Also similar, is when they are in the middle of an interesting interview, but must cut it off so they can interview some stupid movie star, or do a story on something frivolous.
