the creatures and had 200 sewer rats at home as 'pets'
When his wife couldn't take it anymore and told him it was either her or the rats - he chose the rats

200 Sewer rats? I think he needs to look at other choices for pets..
Never thought I'd need to say something like this, but here's a good rule for life: No matter what sort of pets you like--you don't stuff 'em down your pants.
Maybe he was trying to get rid of his wife, and this seemed like a better idea than just killing her........
