Good morning peevers.

Thanks, as always, for the great responses yesterday.

The good news is that Miss J has done extremely well in her exams and has been accepted into the university of her choice and she is so pleased.

So for the next four years she will be studying French and Italian in the UK and abroad for a year.

I know that we will continue to see much of her between term times, but things will be different.

I'll use that as the basis for today's peeve, which is;

Temporary or permanent separation from a loved one.

Congratulations to Miss J! It must be an exciting time for her, though heart-wrenching for you to be so far away from your daughter.

I have the opposite problem, a retired "clinging vine" husband who stays home all day, never wants to go anywhere and doesn't like me to go out without him. It's frustrating now, but I know that someday he'll be gone. When that day comes I know I would gladly trade the world to have one more day with him under my feet.

It's not good, you get used to it but it's still not good......

Well Jezer, I'm glad she got accepted and glad the separation is temporary, that's the best kind!

That's great news about Miss J. What an exciting time for her My son being in the US is the only downside to being here. We do have video chats usually once a week so I can see his face, but not quite the same.

Congrats to Miss J on her acceptance to the university of her choice.

I worked alone in PR for a year and only got to go home once a month.

Congratulations to Ms J!!!!!

The closest thing I've experienced in this was hubby going away to school for 6 weeks but he came home ever weekend.

Congratulations to Mrs. J!! I wouldn't mind going back to school just to keep my brain exercised.

As long as the temporary separation doesn't become permanent, I can get through it.
