Freebird by Skynyrd is great so is Gimme Three Steps.
The Gambler by Kenny Rogers is a classic, same as Margaritaville by Jimmy Buffett. I'm a Parrothead by the way...
I'm mainly country and rock.

speedy it is called american pie by don mclean, released in 1971,
the song has many versus and interpretations, of events and people, but its mostly about, the planecrash of buddy holly, also, the big bopper(chantilly lace) and ritchie valens(la-bamba, and oh donna)
i cant remember if i cried when i read about his widowed bride, bad but something touched me deep inside, the day the music died

Wow, the best thread I have read in a long time.
I'm younger so here's my list...
*Satellite by Dave Matthews...first kiss
* Miss you (acoustic version) by Incubus...reminds me of the girl I should have married right out of college.
*See You Again by Jenny Bliss...all the college parties and all of the people I lost contact with.

Good choice! Lynard Skynard's Simple Kind of Man would probably be my choice.
Worthy Is The Lamb, by Darlene Zschech is another.

I like EVERYTHING by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
But my favorite one is "Red, White & Blue"
"My hair's turnin' white.
Neck's always been red.
My collar's still blue."
Favorite love-making song of all time is Led Zepplin- Kashmir.
Favorite party song is ZZ Top- Beer Drinkers & Hell Raisers
Best "describes me" song is Charlie Daniels Band- Long Haired Country Boy
"If you don't like the way I'm livin'
You just leave this long haired country boy alone"
