Thanks grammy & exhdo, I'm doing great now! It's been a few years since that person has been in my life but like I said the experience did change me, as it would with most people. My mother was abused by my father and when I saw this as kid I swore I would never let someone abuse me but like I said it can happen, even if you are a secure, strong person. I'm only writing about all of this for one reason, if it could make someone see the light and get out. The person I was with was charming, fun and would treat me great (sometimes) that was part of the manipulation. Also, I would like to say men are not the only abusers, I don't want to get too personal but a female in my family was abusing her husband, mentally & physically.
About the police: they do have a responsibilty to do something and they did help me, so if you need help call the police. If your scared, feel embarrased or afraid what the abuser might do, I've been there. You have to get help, it will be hard and I felt all of those things but things are great for me now. If your afraid what he might do, be afraid what he will do if you stay. Grammys tragic story says it all.

My wife has been abusing me for nearly 30 years now and I kinda like it. Call me crazy! (of course that was a joke, hope you smiled)
You would be surprised at how many of abused women come from very wealthy and educated homes. It is thought that abused women come from low income and low life parents. The majority are but there is a large amt that are not...
Your right, look at OJ and Nicole is a prime example!
