Good morning peevers from a cold and frosty Jezerville.

Mrs J and I are off to a posh place next week for a belated wedding anniversary celebration- twenty years since you ask.

I was reading through the itinerary and noticed that it's Black Tie.

Bummer.

The wardrobe fairies have been at my diiner jacket and evening shirt.

Mrs J told me to go and get all the stuff I need as there will be other occasions when I'll need them again fairly soon.

However this gave me the idea for today's peeve.

Ever felt you had to go out and get something eventhiugh you knew it wouldn't get much use? Let us know because the POTD is;

Buying something that won't get used much.

As it is so chilly out there here are some shots from the archives from an island called La Gomera in the Canary Islands, which are in the Atlantic, some way off Africa.

The island is renowned for being the last port of call of Columbus in 1492 where he stocked up before the big adventure!

He was supposed to have been there four dayss but ended up being there a month, probably due to his interest in the widowed Countess of the island!

Good one. Such as potato peeler I have mastered peeling with a paring knife with little to no waste and to me, a peeler takes longer to do.
Thanks for the gorgeous pics!

Good peeve, Jezer. I hate having to buy stuff that will only see the light once in a blue moon.

Reminds me of when I was pregnant and I just had to have this microwave that was advertised as being big enough to cook a turkey. Still not sure why I thought I would ever want to cook the bird that way

I only used it for heating up the baby's bottles and reheating food

Beautiful pics, Jezer, and worth repeating many times. I would stay for the scenery!

Buying something that won't get used much.

I'm good at not wasting money but anytime I have something I don't need, off it goes to the shelter.

This is an ideal scene. Great job, Camera Man!

The quintessential waste of money is a bridesmaid's dress.

Buying something that won't get used much.

Tools come to mind. I have many tools bought for a certain project or problem and now they there staring at me. But I know in my mind that someday I'll probably need them again.

Hey Jezer why not just rent a Tux. Then you won't have moths eating it up in the closet between the years you may need it next.

Those pictures are beautiful, I especially like the first one.

And that is exactly why I cannot get a car in the garage.
