Good morning peevers.

I have an appointment with the chiropodist later on today and one thing will be to sort out either a corn or bunion- never sure what is what.

It's annoying how such a small thing like one of those can be so irritating.

I mentioned in Pam's TOTD thread how the tip of my thumb often splits open at this (cold) time of the year especially if I'm working outside a lot. It's so slow to heal as you are using the tip of the thumb for so many things.

So my dear peevers, today's peeve centres around minor ailments that cause a disproportionate amount of discomfort.

The POTD is;

Annoying little discomforts.

Mine is the other extremity, ma big toenail.... two years ago I fell from my daughters moving car dragging my left leg and bruising it badly, I noticed at the time my left boot was scuffed but my foot was ok.... but months later I noticed my toenail wasnt growing properly and was getting thicker... it got so bad some of my tighter heel type shoes were uncomfy. so I got some strong nail files and tried to thin it down... all this caused was the nail to crumble and eventually fall off, but it has grown in similar , very strange as it hasnt grown over the tip but is thickening again.. I think mabye the nail bed has been damaged and nothing can be done to make it look ok again, so sandals are out of the question as I now hate my feet..... rant over... whos next

Jezer....my thumb and sometimes one of my fingers split around the top of the nail in the winter and hurts like heck........now I put superglue on the split and it doesn't hurt after that and it seems to heal really fast.....doctors use superglue in hospitals so I thought so can I. It works!

Right now my darn knee is killing me and it's really inconvenient as I can't do much of anything except limp along....only one more week and I get a bionic knee....YAY.

Rant over.....NEXT......

Hey thanks dizzybent....in 2011 I had a hip replacement and was released from the doc at 3 weeks so I expect good results with the knee also. I used to run 10 miles a day....doc said that did some damage.....my urge to be healthy did in the joints....dang.

That would be the back. Hurt it about 2 years ago and it has never been the same. It is slightly concerning since I'm only 23 and have a few more decades of use in that back.
