Weather isn't always predictable. If it were, daily forecasts would be spot-on, hurricanes anticipated, and picnics safe from abrupt summer downpours. Instead, climate systems are complex, and tornadoes are no exception. So, whereas guessing the direction of a tornado's torque is possible, like any weather prediction the forecast will only be correct most of the time.

There was a report that a Tasmanian devil was seen spinning counterclockwise in Australia at a swap meet parking lot but the government seems to have hushed it up, mainly to protect the tourist industry, if you ask me.

Actually it is a fact, I work with somebody who lived in South America and he told me that water in the toilet does spin in the opposite direction because of the different magnetic polarity in the southern hemisphere.

If memory serves me correctly, out here in Calico Ghost Town, theres a section where something to do with the earths' gravity makes a creek flow upward rather than downward, and you dont realize you are actually standing at an angle. We went there as a family several years ago and it was awesome, I love the old west theme. Im gonna see if sometime soon we can all go back there and check it out.

If toilets swirl in the opposite direction in the southern hemisphere, what would they do at the poles?
