Mornin' all!

I hope this morning finds you all well.

How 'bout some questions, shall we?

Today's Question(s):
Is your lawn mowed with a(n):
old fashioned push mower?
standard lawn mower with a pull cord?
standard electric mower?
stand-up riding mower?
sit down riding mower?
Bag, bagless (needs raking), or mulching?

Bonus Question:
When you have to wait patiently (doctor's office, grocery line, stopped by a train, etc.) with nothing to occupy yourself, what do you do?

Just for Fun:
Is there something you can do like no one else, such as playing three musical instruments at once, ride a tricycle and juggle at the same time, paint a picture so that you are actually painting it upsidedown, etc?

Today in History:
Arts/Entertainment: 1980 Linda Ronstadt opens in "Pirates of Penzance" on Broadway
Birthday: 1930 Princess Margaret
Politics: 1968 Democratic Convention opens in Chicago
Science/Technology: 2011 The world's potentially oldest fossils, thought to be 3.4 billion years old, are found in the Strelley Pool rock formation in Western Australia's outback
Sports: 1988 Yordanka Donkova runs world record 100 m hurdles (12.21)

Today’s Word:
lumen
Pronunciation: /ˈlumən/
noun
Meaning:
1. Optics. the unit of luminous flux, equal to the luminous flux emitted in a unit solid angle by a point source of one
candle intensity.
2. Anatomy . the canal, duct, or cavity of a tubular organ.
3. Botany . (of a cell) the cavity that the cell walls enclose.
Etymology: 1870–75; < Neo-Latin, special uses of Latin lūmen (stem lūmin- ) light, window

Today is:
Earth Over Shoot Day or Ecological Debt Day
National Medical Dosimetrist Day (Third Wednesday)
Poet's Day
Senior Citizen's Day

Quote of the Day:
“I have always had a dread of becoming a passenger in life.”

Have a great day everyone!

How 'bout some questions, shall we?

Today's Question(s):
Is your lawn mowed with a(n):
old fashioned push mower?
standard lawn mower with a pull cord?
standard electric mower?
stand-up riding mower? John Deere. Very fast.
sit down riding mower?
Bag, bagless (needs raking), or mulching?

Bonus Question:
When you have to wait patiently (doctor's office, grocery line, stopped by a train, etc.) with nothing to occupy yourself, what do you do? Brain Storm about something.

Just for Fun:
Is there something you can do like no one else, such as playing three musical instruments at once, ride a tricycle and juggle at the same time, paint a picture so that you are actually painting it upsidedown, etc? I really think there is always a faster gun somewhere like in the old western movies. I'm very good at what I do but I see those who are much better.

Not sure yet, but we will see...

Bag, bagless (needs raking) << NO, or mulching?

Bonus Question:
When you have to wait patiently (doctor's office, grocery line, stopped by a train, etc.) with nothing to occupy yourself, what do you do?
All depends:
didn't go to dr office the last 20+ years, so I would not know
grocery line: is never THAT long, I just ... wait
don't travel by a train
others: depends on the duration. When I expect a delay - I usually bring a book with me

Just for Fun:
Is there something you can do like no one else, such as playing three musical instruments at once, ride a tricycle and juggle at the same time, paint a picture so that you are actually painting it upsidedown, etc?
Hmmm... I am pretty good with multitasking No other special skills...

Is your lawn mowed with a(n):

The lawn is not mowed. There is no lawn.

When you have to wait patiently (doctor's office, grocery line, stopped by a train, etc.) with nothing to occupy yourself, what do you do?

Think.

Is there something you can do like no one else, such as playing three musical instruments at once, ride a tricycle and juggle at the same time, paint a picture so that you are actually painting it upsidedown, etc?

I can do a bunch of things that are unique, I guess. It's because I don't think the way other people think.
I use both hands and one foot, at the same time, when I cook in the kitchen, for example.

***** Thanks Pats and a big bowl of yummy stuff to you all! *****

There is no lawn where I live. However the courtyards are very nicely landscaped.

I zone out. More than once someone has stopped to check and see if I am ok when in this state.

i usually have some needlework with me. Other than that, just think.

Bag, bagless (needs raking) I don't rake.

Grocery Line- Watch people
Train - Look around...

When waiting I guess I generally look around at surroundings.

Ha. I can stand on one foot (without immediately falling over) if that's what you mean. It's taken years of practice.

Meetings...... meetings..... meetings. So any meetings before school starts.
Have a good day, all!

I live in a suburban apartment complex. The landscapers use a sit down riding mower.

Bonus Question:

In the grocery line I look at all of the tabloids and magazines and think I don't know any of those people on the cover so I don't care about them - when did I get so old? In the doctor's office I daydream. No trains here.

Just for Fun:

I can procrasinate like no one else.
