What is your personal hand washing habit? Do you have any particular one?

When I wash my hands, I will turn off the faucet using paper towel.
I mean what's the point touching your faucet with dirty hand, washing your hands and touching the dirty faucet again as you turn off the water?

Please explain and discuss.....

I wash my hands w/ soap and water and if I'm wearing jeans, I wipe them on my jeans.
If I'm at work, I use the paper towels and keep it to clean the house later.

If they have paper towels use one to turn off the faucet or to open door. I'm a little more that way in recent years. I'm an OCD-ish hand washer but I'm not excessively concerned. Good practice to wash hands after a trip to the grocer or other outtings though.

I wash the faucet handles when I wash my hands... I've been known to wait for someone else to open a bathroom door in a particularly dirty place so I don't have to touch it.

I give the faucet handles a soapy wash along with my hands. In public toilets, first thing I do is get a piece of tissue to close the door latch. That's the one place that will be touched by every hand that just did a urine or butt wipe or held a guy thing. I keep my purse hanging on my shoulder and don't let it touch anything. I never sit down and keep my panties from touching the front of the toilet. Going into a public toilet it's a push so going back out, I take the paper towel with me for that and if it's air dry, I use kleenex from my purse or get some more toilet tissue.

Use a papertowel to turn off the faucet. If they don't have them, I use a clean dry tissue.

I'm a hand washing nut. I wash the handle when washing my hands with soap. I try to turn the water off with an elbow. Now here is a true story about a sign posted in a restaurant restroom about hand washing. The sign said was and scrub with soap for 4 minutes. Dry hands and turn off the faucet with the paper towel then use the towel to open the rest room door. These signs were posted after an out break of a disease that killed several. Now the irony of this sign is there were no towels in the rest room as it was only equipped with an electric dryer...:du bious: And you had to use the knob to pull the door in so you could get out. Now I love the new modern restrooms with baffle entries and electronic sensors to turn the water on and off. This is real change and progress.

Electric hand dryers recirculate the bacteria in the bathroom.
