Good morning peevers.

It was an interesting exercise that I went through yesterday.

Remember how I couldn't find a couple of remote controls, one which I had to send back with the device it was operating?

I eventually found them both and in doing so made me realise, if I needed reminding, how much stuff we have. I kept coming across things I'd forgotten about some of which could probably go to a better place- charity, eBay, recycle or dump.

I found one magazine which I really could have done with a month ago when researching something, so I don't even know where to go for useful stuff.

We've had threads along these lines before, but I bet I'm not alone in this situation.

I really must make an effort before Christmas to address this, and to see how things are with my fellow peevers the POTD is;

There's just too much stuff here.

Organized closet space and flat space seem to always be at a premium.

It's so much easier to acquire things than to let go of them. That's the problem.

Something a bit different today. I dug up some shots of New Orleans, taken a few years ago.

I was on a road trip with Miss J and we spent a couple on nights in NOLA.

Here's a ten year old Miss J enjoying beignets at Café du Monde;

Tell me about it! We could use a small warehouse attached to our home.

I love New Orleans and those beignets and Café du Monde. We always go there....and also to get shrimp and oyster po boys. Hi Miss J.

Yes, we have too much stuff, but I have been cleaning out and discarding and donating. It's surprising how an illness at an older age makes you realize that time goes fast and there is a time that accumulation may need to change. It's now for me.

One good thing about several major moves is that you get rid of a lot of stuff. Must say it's much easier now.

Miss J sure looks like she's enjoying herself
