It was an interesting exercise that I went through yesterday.
Remember how I couldn't find a couple of remote controls, one which I had to send back with the device it was operating?
I eventually found them both and in doing so made me realise, if I needed reminding, how much stuff we have. I kept coming across things I'd forgotten about some of which could probably go to a better place- charity, eBay, recycle or dump.
I found one magazine which I really could have done with a month ago when researching something, so I don't even know where to go for useful stuff.
We've had threads along these lines before, but I bet I'm not alone in this situation.
I really must make an effort before Christmas to address this, and to see how things are with my fellow peevers the POTD is;
Yes, we have too much stuff, but I have been cleaning out and discarding and donating. It's surprising how an illness at an older age makes you realize that time goes fast and there is a time that accumulation may need to change. It's now for me.
