It's a bit frosty out there today. I quite like that kind of weathert rather than warmer and damp.
I think I mentioned on here a few days back how we were to expect snow tomorrow. Doesn't look like that will happen here near the south coast. They may well get it further north especially in Scotland but that's not unusual.
There are two particular daily newspapers in this Country that just love to spread doom and gloom, and one of those was predicting the chaos that the snow would bring to southern England.
I so detest that paper- you wouldn't get out of bed in the morning if you believed half of what they wrote.
Let's use this as the basis of the POTD. I'm not just on about newspapers but also people who seem to thrive on doom and gloom. It's not that the glass is half empty, it's almost completely empty.
Following on from yesterday's shot of Molly (The Wally) giving me close attention, here are two taken last night as she slept near to the computer desk;
Molly is such a sweet lady! I can see why you love her so much.
Being a natural optimist, I am puzzled by people who always see the negative side of everything and always expect the worst. One of those types explained himself to me by saying, "If I'm right, then I'm mentally prepared for it, and if I'm wrong, it's a pleasant surprise." OK, but I still think it wastes a lot of energy being negative and worrying all the time. My attitude is to expect the best, and if I'm wrong, I'll deal with whatever happens when it happens. Or, as someone wise once put it, "A hero only dies once. A coward dies a thousand times."
Doom and gloom ACK! The world is full of it and people that feed off of it...There's a med for everything (darn near), Maybe they can make an optimism pill
Yes, doom and gloom prophets galore. The FCC and television networks used to have a tad of responsibility. Today any charlatan can buy TV time and spout all the BS to the world. Selling prayer cloths, small vials of Holy water, snake oil etc. creating a following of lunatics. God help us all.
Move over tas.........I"m joining you.
just look at the face.
sorry missed the peeve for a few days. Feeling better now.
Funny, Sat wasn't much on TV but I did watch a documentary on Gyana.......Jonestown. OMG......they were actual videos.
what a blooming demon that guy was. Talk about depression. Really brought my spirits down how he controlled all those poor people who were rejects of society to begin with. And the ones who survived.....had horrible lives...oh it was awful.
The next one I watched was Kennedy assassination........I remember and the heartbreaking feelings all came back. Something I will never forget.
Anyway.......happy Tues.....hope everyone is snow free.
off to a nice lunch with a girlfriend today. Life is good.
