Morning y’all
. . . . . Didja Know?
An IT worker who cares for guide dogs at her home while they’re being trained, began choking on a
chocolate. That’s when Nell, one of her dogs, sprang into action and cross-jumped on her sofa, then
on her chest - essentially performing the Heimlich maneuver to dislodge the treat.

“There’s no doubt in my eyes that Nell saved my life. She was amazing. She’s never jumped up on me
like that before. She knew I was in trouble and knew exactly how to wind me.”

A spokesperson for The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association said, “This is just another example of how
talented guide dogs can be.”

I didn't know it, Joy. Great story!

My boss is blind and has a service dog. "Hope" is one of the family at our office. When she's not working (meaning, when she's not wearing her harness), we are allowed to pet and play with her. She's a great stress releaser in the office. My boss has told some stories of amazing things that Hope has done to save him from danger.
