Good morning peevers.

More high winds and rain today. For the first time ever the local school was shut yesterday due to flooding.

The good news is that those tradesmen have been turning up. It can't be easy for the ones having to work outdoors.

Hmm- how about that for a peeve?

Like it or not we sometimes have to do things outside despite the weather.

Let's turn our thoughts to those poor souls who have to endure the elements, often doing essential work which if not done affects us all.

The POTD is;

Having to work outside in the nasty weather.

Following on from yesterday's shots of one NP, here are some more from another US NP.

As a bit of a teaser see if you can determine which one it is, though it is better known than Big Bend.

I really feel bad for all that do... especially those roofers in the TX heat during the summer, as well as those guys working with asphalt to repair the highways in the heat of the day in the summer, and all of the powerline guys that have to go out in the middle of the night in any kind of stormy weather to restore power; policemen, firemen (Dallas just lost one due to icy roads last evening ), the list goes on ...my hat's off to each and every one!

Jezer, have no idea where your photos were taken or what of... but they are truly awesome!

Take care All!

Having to work outside in the nasty weather.

Don't you just hate it when that happens.

Wit-nit is spot on with the name of the NP, and the rock in the last two photos.

Good morning. sorry I missed yesterday.

Is one the white clifts of Dover? I was impressed as we pulled away on the ferry.

In Pa they lost power so they had linesmen from all over coming to try and restore power. They have been working outside in the bitter elements.
Hope they pay them enough

Hat's off to those who brave the harsh elements to keep others safe and warm. This year in particular has really been rough on them.
