A 27 year old South Carolina woman who went down to the Sheriff's department on another matter
ending up spending the night in jail after deputies ran her name and discovered an active warrant.
Her ‘crime’ In 2005 (when she was 18) she rented the movie Monster-in-Law from a now defunct video
store and failed to return it within 72 hours. Apparently, a heinous crime like this has an extremely long
statute of limitations

Hmm.. sounds like a plot for a new comedy movie, I'm sure it'll be a.. Blockbuster.. I wonder if there are any late charges for this..
The statute of limitations lasted longer than the now defunct video store, and the media technology the movie was on.. at least that's what I understood from the reference to "tape" that was made in the article.. now we have to wonder, was it on a VHS or Beta format?
There was actually a warrant out for her arrest? Wow.
I didn't know it, Joy.
