Early Christmas morning. This year we will drive an hour to a friend's house for breakfast & presents, then drive back to do early dinner & presents with the folks.
The friends used to be neighbors and the tradition of breakfast continues. Last year they drove up to SC because it was my turn to cook. Guess an hour will not be so bad.
We open them Christmas morning but we also indulge in buying extra luxuries the entire month long. I am a shameless shopper so I make sure the entire month is fun with extras of everything.
Well, this is my first year of opening presents on Christmas Day. I grew up opening gifts on the night of Christmas Eve...but this year I am living away from my family and beginning new traditions with my in-laws. It's an all day thing of Christmas Day...opening gifts in the morning at my place then going to my in-laws' house and opening gifts there at brunch and then after dinner when the extended family arrives. Phew! It's going to be a long and fun-filled day.

Apparently my brother married a girl who always opened gifts on Christmas Eve, and they had to reach some sort of compromise.
Always have opened one on Christmas Eve and the rest on Christmas day.
Sometimes it also depends on what family member(s) is with us or if we go to see family at there house.
Christmas Eve with my family, Christmas Day with husband's family.
Santa's gifts ALWAYS Christmas morning
