Today's Random Questions: Are you usually an optimist or a pessimist? I'm a realist...it depends on what's in the glass!
Where have you heard music played on a jukebox? At the restaurant in the town where I grew up, in a couple of small diners, and at the drive-in restaurant in town.
Do you remember anything about the songs played? Just that the one at the drive-in joint was too loud. No, really, I couldn't hear my husband sitting right next to me in the car. It's not just my age!
Have you attended a city council meeting or similar? If so, why? Yes, on a number of occasions. I used to be the "spokesperson" for a group seeking permission from the city to have a festival in one of the local parks.
Do you know anyone who is adopted or has an adopted family member? I have a very good friend who was adopted, and several people I know have adopted children. I also know a few people who, heartbreakingly, relinquished children to others, but felt it was what was best for the children.
Foodie Breakfast Questions: What flavors of syrup or toppings do you like on your pancakes or waffles? Just maple syrup, if it's the real stuff. I could do jelly as well. Just about any flavor jelly would be fine, but I prefer maple syrup. Mmmmm...I just had egg nog pancakes with maple syrup Tuesday morning.
What extras do you like stirred in the batter of pancakes or waffles? Fruit will work. But no bananas, and no nuts!
What cold cereals do you like? Plain ones.
What hot cereals do you like? Plain ones. Cream of Wheat and oatmeal are about the only ones I eat. Occasionally I will combine two packets of plain and peach oatmeal. I find the fruity ones are always too sweet, but cutting them with plain is about perfect!
What do you add to cereals, hot or cold? Usually nothing for cold cereal. For hot cereal, brown sugar. Occasionally I will use half water, half milk.
Just for fun: What would you like to see outside your window? Woods and wildlife. And I would love to hear a train.

I grew up "in a restaurant," and I remember this kind as well. Once I checked the coin return and it was so full I almost couldn't push the flap open! I was a good kid; I told the owner. He told me "finders, keepers."
