Our town has the dubious distinction of having the first/oldest market building for the sale of African slaves in Europe. While its role in the slave trade is acknowledged on the historical signage, it present-day use is as a small center where local artists can display their works.

Have you ever gotten a temporary/fake tattoo, or a henna-dye tattoo (non-permanent, but longer-lasting) ?
No

If you’ve ever watched The Muppets on tv shows or movies, do you have a favorite character/puppet ?
I have seen them...but my favorites were Kukla, Fran and Ollie from an earlier era.
I've had the mumps, measles, and chicken pox, all (estimate) between 6-10 years pld.
Plenty of historical sights in Washington, DC but not sure "official" label counts. I take it doesn't.
Battlefield in FT. Washington, MD does. Nice park that I have been to a few times when I was younger.
Not into any tattooing at all. I don't get the fad and why so many young women are getting them. I've seen the temporary ones too. It does not enhance their looks but I guess many do not care about that, or they have their own opinion. In the end it's their body and none of my business.
Never saw The Muppets.
Thanks, cloven. Super nice maze!
Happy Monday to all!

Have you visited an “official” historical site (whether near home-or away on a trip) ? Many.... Bennington Monument, Hubbarton Battlefield, Constitution House, Eureka School House..... Fort Ticonderoga, Fort #4... The Crown Point Road goes though our family property.
If so, do you recall what the significance of the place was ? Eureka School House was built in 1790 & is the oldest one room schoolhouse in Vermont. The Constitution House in Windsor was a tavern & Vermont's constitution was written there in 1777.
Bonus:
Have you ever gotten a temporary/fake tattoo, or a henna-dye tattoo (non-permanent, but longer-lasting) ? The only tattoos I've had were the ones you put on by wetting the image and holding it on your skin.... a kid's tattoo. I remember when at an outdoor concert at a nearby green a little girl was selling cookies and tattoos... an interesting combination.
Just for Fun:
