Today's Free Wheeling Questions:
Have you ever wished you could hop on a freight train and take off to parts unknown?

I did that just once with two friends when we were in high school. We rode a freight train from Abilene, TX to Odessa, TX and then caught the next one coming back to Abilene. I really cannot believe we did that. I waited until I was around 40 to tell my mother about it. The world was a kinder place in the 60s but there were so many bad things that could have happened to us.

Good or bad. I never thought I'd see the day that a man walked on the moon.

A popular word or phrase that annoys you: "Peachy keen."

Have you known anyone who's a "goody-goody two shoes"?

I don't think so.

Did you ever read a book that was an adventure or a western? (A title, please, if you can think of it.)

Just recently I decided to finally read something by Zane Gray. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I really enjoyed Riders of the Purple Sage.

What do you do to relax when you feel stressed out?

Read or take a nap.

Foodie Qs:
Have you ordered a pizza with different toppings on half of the same pie?

Yes, I have.
If you did today, what would you get:
-Half of the pizza topped with pepperoni.
-And the other half with spinach and feta cheese.

Grilled onions with: everything except dessert.

Fresh onions with: everything except dessert.

Onion rings? everything except dessert.

Would you bite into an onion like an apple for $100?

If it's a Vidalia I'd do it for free.

Good morning bjh and all.

oday's Free Wheeling Questions:
Have you ever wished you could hop on a freight train and take off to parts unknown?

Funnily enough we've just been checking out the Californian Zephyr- hardly a freight train- but I'd love to cross the US on the ground rather than by air.

Good or bad. I never thought I'd see the day that there were such things as smartphones. Used the torch on it yesterday. The versatility is amazing.

A popular word or phrase that annoys you: Basically basically.

Have you known anyone who's a "goody-goody two shoes"? Yep.

Did you ever read a book that was an adventure or a western? (A title, please, if you can think of it.)

One of the best is 'Day Of The Jackal' by Frederick Forsyth. It was made into an excellent film starring Edward Fox, and an awful one, which bears no real relation to the book, starring Bruce Willis. I've read most of Forsyth's books and they are great.

What do you do to relax when you feel stressed out? Read, listen to music, play with the cat. All at the same time.

Foodie Qs:

I'll go with that.

Have you ever wished you could hop on a freight train and take off to parts unknown? Yes, looking at it from a fantasy adventure. But it reality I know better.

Good or bad. I never thought I'd see the day that showing your underwear to the world would become a fashion statement (whatever that statement is supposed to be).

A popular word or phrase that annoys you: "My bad." "It wasn't meant to be." "I have a quick question for you (from a customer, there is no such thing).

Have you known anyone who's a "goody-goody two shoes"? Yes. I know one at work.

Did you ever read a book that was an adventure or a western? (A title, please, if you can think of it.) I'm sure I read an adventure but it was a long time ago.

What do you do to relax when you feel stressed out? Hot bath with lavender oil, nap, dull my brain with online forums.

Foodie Qs:
Have you ordered a pizza with different toppings on half of the same pie? Yes.
If you did today, what would you get:
-Half of the pizza topped with plain cheese
-And the other half with linguisa, pineapple, olives, a little onion, some sausage.

Grilled onions with: Hamburgers

Fresh onions with: also hamburgers

Onion rings? Usually order them with hamburgers. Had some damn good ones last night.

Would you bite into an onion like an apple for $100? Darn tootin', I would!!! I would do it for $50, though I wouldn't say it.

Wishing everyone the weekend they want!
Thanks, BJH

I can understand the romance of it, but no.

Good or bad. I never thought I'd see the day that
You could carry around a wireless portable phone hardly any larger than a cassette tape that also is a computer, a video camera, a game console, a calendar, a calculator, a music and print library, a notebook and a map and navigation aid that knows exactly where you are at all times.

A popular word or phrase that annoys you:
Most of them do!

Have you known anyone who's a "goody-goody two shoes"?
Yes. Annoying, aren't they?

Did you ever read a book that was an adventure or a western? (A title, please, if you can think of it.)
I'm not sure if they would fall into this category, but I read most of John D. MacDonald's Travis McGee novels.

What do you do to relax when you feel stressed out?
I put my feet up and watch Classic Arts Showcase on TV.

Foodie Qs:
Have you ordered a pizza with different toppings on half of the same pie?
I had one that was divided into thirds : Pesto with Mozzarella, Four Cheeses and Tomato Sauce with Basil.
If you did today, what would you get:
-Half of the pizza topped with
roast vegetables, pesto Sauce and cheese
-And the other half with
sweet Italian sausage, tomato sauce and cheese
Grilled onions with:
hamburger

Fresh onions with:
Nothing. I like mine cooked!

Onion rings?
I'll pass.

Would you bite into an onion like an apple for $100?
What kind of a masochist do you take me for?

Thanks, bjh!

A popular word or phrase that annoys you: "My bad." "Yeah, no." "Just sayin'."

Have you known anyone who's a "goody-goody two shoes"? Sure

Did you ever read a book that was an adventure or a western? (A title, please, if you can think of it.) I'm sure I must have but can't think of a title.

What do you do to relax when you feel stressed out? Sit on the porch, walk through the fields, listen to music, sit in the tub.

If you did today, what would you get:
-Half of the pizza topped with the works.... for daughters
-And the other half with just cheese.... for grands.
I don't eat pizza.

Grilled onions with: In an onion pie

Fresh onions with: Burger..... for someone else.

Onion rings? Just onion rings, they don't need to come with anything else.

Would you bite into an onion like an apple for $100? Oh, ew..... maybe.

Have you ever wished you could hop on a freight train and take off to parts unknown? - No.

Good or bad. I never thought I'd see the day that I'd be without affordable health insurance

A popular word or phrase that annoys you: " I know, right?"

Have you known anyone who's a "goody-goody two shoes"? Yes, those that run their mouth to the boss to make themselves look good and others bad.
There is currently one of those at my job...

Did you ever read a book that was an adventure or a western? (A title, please, if you can think of it.) Does not appeal...

What do you do to relax when you feel stressed out? - Still illegal in my state.

Foodie Qs:
Have you ordered a pizza with different toppings on half of the same pie?
- Ever, yes.

If you did today, what would you get:
-Half of the pizza topped with
Mushrooms and onions.
-And the other half with - The only way I would do that is to split with someone which I haven't done in almost 9 years. I wouldn't care what is on the other half.

When I have pizza I buy it by the slice.

Grilled onions with: egg.
Fresh onions with: - Pizza! Cooked, of course.

Onion rings? - Once in a while, okay. It's probably been 2-3 years since I last had them.

Would you bite into an onion like an apple for $100? Without hesitation.

Thanks, bjh.
Hope everyone has a good Saturday!
